We're looking for a highly technical Cloud Platform / DevOps Engineer to help design, build and operate the infrastructure and integration foundations behind a large application modernisation programme.
This is a hands-on engineering role combining cloud, DevOps, integration and distributed systems.
What you'll do
- Build components supporting a microservices-based architecture
- Develop and maintain cross-cloud integrations
- Work with Azure Service Bus, API Management and cloud-hosted services
- Support the decomposition of legacy applications into independent services
- Implement API-first and event-driven integration patterns
- Build solutions compatible with existing CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code standards
- Operate workloads across VMs, containers and Kubernetes
- Support automated testing, scanning and code quality processes
- Implement observability through logging, tracing and metrics
- Support engineering teams throughout application migrations
What we're looking for
- Strong experience with microservices and distributed systems
- Cloud experience with Azure, AWS and/or Alibaba Cloud
- Strong DevOps background
- CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
- Docker and Kubernetes
- API Management and messaging systems
- SQL and NoSQL integration
- Monitoring and observability
- Microsoft .NET / Azure experience is a plus
Working Model
- 🇵🇹 Portugal-based candidates only
- 🏠 Remote from Portugal
- 🕘 European working hours (CET/CEST)
- Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Portugal. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
