Function description:
IEM, is a multidisciplinary engineering firm, is looking for a Structural / Mechanical Engineer who is able to work in a team of Engineers for our equipment-related projects. With your designing skills, you will ensure that all design equipment-related deliverables can be achieved within the agreed project budget and planning. As Structural / Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Report to Team-, Lead engineer to ensure that the quality and completeness of design equipment deliverables are in compliance with project requirements and company standards
- Sharing technical information and expertise with all team members within the project
- Able to lead and assist less experience colleagues in completing work assignments
- Delivering input for progress reporting and project planning
- Providing input for new project proposals and defining the scope of work for new projects, as well as changes within projects
- Have exposure and experience working in design or production environment for marine, offshore or dredging with knowledge related to engineering standards, norm and best practices.
Function- Requirements:
To be eligible for the position of Structural/Mechanical Engineer, you must have the following:
- Higher education structural & mechanical engineering
- At least six years of experience in an equipment discipline in a relevant market
- At least three years of experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in SolidEdge or NX software is required and experience of AutoCAD; Tekla or FEM is advantageous
- Knowledge of international standards for machining; fitting; tolerance; etc.
- Knowledge of international rules and standards applicable to offshore designs
- Experience with Engineer machinery in an offshore/maritime environment
- Excellent English both written and verbal
- Proactive and problem-solving attitude, as well as being an analytic and flexible team player
- Coaching and leadership experience is preferred
- Adaptability, assertiveness, critical thinking, ability to coach and control progress, focus on quality, problem analysis, and desire to achieve results.
