CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)
The CFO position in Optic Marine will demand a candidate with strong business acumen, solid financial reporting and Operational Strategy experience and who has previously led an IPO exercise of Main Board Company on Bursa Malaysia. The role will encompass treasury and investment analysis and decision making, require the candidate to have a strong network in banking and funding resources. The candidate’s experience in a marine related/ infrastructure/ telecommunications industry will be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
- Accountable for compliance to all legal/regulatory and corporate requirements;
- Delivering financial reports in accordance to financial standards and accounting principles;
- Heading, developing and driving group strategic budgetary controls and improvements;
- Providing accurate performance reports, forecasts and analytics to Executive Committee/Board of Directors/CEO in the development of long term goals and business decisions;
- Providing detailed professional recommendations on potential business investments, mergers, acquisitions and divestments;
- Successful IPO listing pre-requisites are planned and executed, any funding requirements are determined and obtained based on the needs of the business
- Represent the company’s financial strategy and driving investor relations.
Key Requirements
- Have at least 12 years experience in a similar capacity with a minimum of 6 years in a Senior Management Finance Role;
- Wide exposure in strategic financial planning, reporting and controls across industries with solid focus on marine related businesses;
- A motivator, with strong Leadership qualities and influencer;
- A keen communicator, confident in proposed decisions to Board of Directors/CEO;
- Experienced in implementing changes and business transformation processes to improve financial efficiency and use of funds;
- Is visionary in the planning of strategic long term goals, decision making and is not averse to changes;
- A Certified Public Accountant.
