Responsibilities:
- To manage existing strategic semi-conductor/electronic component suppliers and distributors required to support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ongoing production at the lowest total cost consistent with acceptable technical, quality and delivery performance.
- To identify and dual source for new semi-conductor/electronic component strategic suppliers to drive competitive pricing and supply assurance.
- To monitor and ensure supply chain comply with respective standards such as ISO or any other sustainability requirements.
- To optimize sourcing or purchasing of semi-conductor/electronic components which would meet production requirements at minimum inventory.
- To perform periodic cost reduction exercises with supply chain.
Requirements:
- Diploma in any field but an engineering qualification would be ideal, although not necessary.
- At least 3-5 years working experience in sourcing/buying or selling/supply of semi-conductor or electronic components or PCBs.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage multiple projects and associated suppliers effectively.
- Independent, dynamic and highly driven with the ability to respond to changing business environment.
- Experienced in Request-For-Inquiry (RFI) and effective contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with ERP system would be an added advantage.
