HEAD OF SECURITY
(Salary RM 3500- RM 4500 negotiable)
- The scope of this role covers all utilized security technologies and services, including protection services, perimeter defenses, physical and logical access control, and profile management of all employees, contractors and visitors, inclusive of ground security, hostel, rented property for storage or warehousing, materials, machinery, tools and personnel . As the company’s senior security officer, you are also has enterprise-level responsibility for all data/information security policies, standards, evaluations, roles, and corporate awareness.
- You are responsible to implement an ongoing Risk Assessment program, which will define, identify, and classify critical assets, assess threats and vulnerabilities regarding those assets, and implement safeguard recommendations. Plan, direct, or coordinate security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, or others on company property.
- Conduct physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Assist in emergency management and contingency planning
Primary responsibilities
- Protect the company's assets and people from invasion and harm.
- Perform services to assure the safety and protection of property and personnel against injury or death, molestation, harassment or intimidation and loss or damage from any preventable cause including fire, theft, embezzlement, damage or destruction, trespass, espionage, or sabotage.
- Maintain and update a property loss and prevention program.
- Evaluate incidents and determine course of action.
- Discover source of security breach.
- Recommends and support the Installation of safety alarms around building and perimeter.
- Report and track all incidents.
- Maintain an emergency training curriculum.
- Patrol building and ward off intruders.
- Supervise parking procedures.
- Support security for events.
- Monitor and support security-related processing for cleared staff.
- Prepare and conduct information security training.
- Develop physical security responses.
- Manage processes for protecting classified, proprietary, and sensitive information.
- Create and update safety manuals and training materials to ensure that
- employees are knowledgeable about the policies. Assist to ensure that all security personnel are trained in these policies.
- Responsible for ensuring that all employees are trained in how to respond in emergency and crisis situations.
- Coordinate security operations or activities with public law enforcement, fire , safety and other agencies.
- Respond to medical emergencies, bomb threats, fire alarms, or intrusion alarms, following emergency response procedures.
- Prepare reports or make presentations on internal investigations, losses, or violations of regulations, policies and procedures.
- Identify, investigate, or resolve security breaches.
- Monitor security policies, programs or procedures to ensure compliance with internal security policies, licensing requirements, or applicable government security requirements, policies, and directives.
- Analyze and evaluate security operations to identify risks or opportunities for improvement.
- Create or implement security standards, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct, support, or assist in reviews, internal corporate evaluations, or assessments of the overall effectiveness of the facilities security processes.
- Conduct physical examinations of property to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
- Communicate security status, updates, and actual or potential problems, using established protocols.
- Collect and analyze security data to determine security needs, security program goals, or program accomplishments.
