BSSB Furniture BHD SDN is a British owned and governed, volume manufacturer of ‘Quality Upholstered, Bedroom Furniture. Our key products are Bedsteads, were we are recognised as on of the largest manufacturers and global exporters of such products. Our factory and offices are based in Telok Gong - Port Klang, Selangor. Perfectly located near to the port, where we ship in excess of 10k containers of product per calendar month. BSSB also have a Furniture Innovation Division - of which has grown to become a leader in the design and integration of mechanical/electrical technology.
Position : Technical Manager
Reporting to: Head of Innovations.
Working along side the Head Of Innovations - The Technical Manager will be responsible for the ongoing development of existing and new products.
This will entail:
- Brainstorming ideas, concepts and developments for new and next generation products.
- Drafting CAD drawings to support these initiatives.
- Utilising structural integrity softwares - obtaining knowledge / best practice for structural forces and loads.
- Working closely with the Research & Development teams. To produce concept/prototype samples and develop them through to a concluded production product. With timeframes and budgets.
- Work closely with existing suppliers to develop new and existing products
- Procure and identify production compatibility and capabilities of new suppliers. Build good foundations and relationships
- Products and materials procurement.
- Project Manage all New and existing product initiatives.
- Work with, supervise, guid and support BSSB Innovations Quality Control Manager. Ensuring all
- Innovations products are fit for purpose and meet Country of destination legislation / standards criteria.
- Create simple and concise tech trouble shooting guides for retailers and end users.
- Utilise ERP Systems
Key Competences:

- Engineering bias - Structural / Mechanical / Electrical (A general / broad competency in all, would be a distinct advantage!)
