INSURANCE EXECUTIVE
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Heads of Departments and/or Section Managers and propose/advise on the amount to be insured or insured amount required by Client, deductible amount and exclusion/limitation/qualification of insurance coverage for projects that the company is tendering and new projects awarded to the company.
- Responsible for procurement of Insurance which include compilation of information and documents for preparation of Request for Proposal/Quotation (RFQ), evaluation of quotation/proposal, clarification and award recommendation to Tender Committee (TC).
- Managing insurance renewal programme for ongoing projects, company’s assets and properties including obtaining approval from Management for renewal of Insurance.
- Responsible for raising payment request for all insurance premiums and payment for deductible amounts for approved Insurance Claims
- Managing all Insurance Claim cases including notification to Insurance Broker and/or Insurer and Loss Adjuster; compilation and submission of documents to necessary parties; and ensuring settlement of claims are received in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with Project Team for supporting documents compilation for insurance claims including claim form and online claim register, if any.
- Provide support to Legal Department for disputed Insurance Claims in mediation, arbitration or litigation.
- Preparing weekly and monthly status report for insurance matters to Management.
- Updating insurance database and also maintaining insurance records/filing.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Risk Management/ Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking/Business Studies/ Administration/ Management or equivalent.
- Familiar with risks identification, mitigation and risks exposure to be insured for each project/property including Client’s insurance requirements.
- At least three (3) years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably candidates specializing in Insurance field in construction industry or equivalent.
