Legal Counsel & Personal Assistant to CEO
Job Description
- Review, drafting and negotiating a range of general commercial agreements on a need basis including property sales & purchase agreements, nondisclosure agreements and any other agreements related to property transactions
- Providing necessary researches and legal advice to CEO and the Board of Directors on a need basis.
- Providing support to Joland Group’s Legal Manager in legal issues across Joland Group including litigation cases and key contract negotiations for the company.
- Providing support in obtaining quotations, negotiate the quotes and monitor work of relevant project suppliers and consultants
- Assisting CEO of Paragon City in preparing proposals and presentations for new project leads
- Providing physical support to CEO on project submissions to the local council & other local authorities
- Assist in developing projects with the CEO to ensure timely delivery of results to the Board of Directors
- Providing supports to other parts of the businesses in product development, business initiatives and marketing plans to the CEO
- Supervising and assisting in company’s secretarial & administrative works as well as providing secretarial and administrative support to CEO
- Arrange and coordinate meetings and appointments between consultants, professionals, governmental bodies and civil servants for the CEO
- Maintain strict confidentiality and interact professionally with all levels of management
- Preparation of correspondences, minutes of meeting, etc and providing coordination support to company’s consultants
- Managing the work calendar of the CEO
- Occasionally assist the CEO’s in human resource issues
- Undertake other adhoc duties when required
Job Requirements
- 2 years minimum Post Qualification Experience, at a top tier / boutique law firm or otherwise in an ‘inhouse’ environment, with exposure to and experience of handling a range of corporate/commercial matters.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and disparate tasks, including excellent organizational and time management skills
- A ‘commonsense’ approach when handling matters that balances legal requirements with commercial considerations
- Attention to detail.
- Outstanding written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- Fluent in English
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team (including managing and mentoring other team members)
- Able to work independently and under minimum supervision.
