As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global quantitative and systematic investment manager leveraging cutting-edge technology and data science to drive innovative investment strategies across all liquid asset classes. Your main responsibilities
- Design and implement systems to collect, process, and manage large-scale market and internal datasets
- Build and maintain high-performance, reliable data pipelines and services using Python, Airflow, and AWS S3
- Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions utilizing Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stacks to ensure operational excellence
- Collaborate with engineers and researchers to integrate data workflows into production environments
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices to streamline deployments and operational tasks
- Evolve expertise in distributed computing, storage architectures, and performance optimization for low-latency trading systems
You're ideal for this role if you h
- 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong proficiency in Python and Shell scripting
- Solid hands-on experience with Linux, networking, and performance troubleshooting
- Expertise in building and managing data pipelines with ETL, time-series data handling (SQL, Pandas)
- Practical knowledge of containers and orchestration tools, including Airflow, ECS, or EKS exposure
- Familiarity with observability/metrics stacks such as Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK
- Experience with AWS cloud services, especially AWS S3, ECS, EKS, or similar platforms
- Ownership mindset, problem-solving drive, and eagerness to work closely with trading teams

- Experience with ClickHouse or other high-performance databases
- Additional skills in distributed computing and infrastructure management
- Knowledge of market data and trading systems
