Responsibilities
This role has been created to provide high-quality programming expertise within a strategic analytics function. The successful candidate will support the design, development, and testing of advanced analytic platforms used to drive data-driven decision making.
- Contribute to all aspects of software development across multiple prototyping initiatives focused on building and testing analytic platforms.
- Develop both proof-of-concept solutions and production-quality software platforms.
- Demonstrate a high degree of flexibility by rapidly switching between:
Rapid prototyping environments to explore and validate new analytical concepts.
Structured software development for robust, scalable business solutions.
- Work closely with quantitative analysts, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate analytical requirements into technical implementations.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research, or Information Systems.
- Min. 5 years of professional experience in building and testing software applications.
- Strong and consistent experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, C++, C#, or Python).
- Experience working in a mathematical or engineering programming environment (e.g. MATLAB).
- Solid understanding of software design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles and methodologies.
