We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer with solid technical skills, as well as good interpersonal and communication skills in an international environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operational support for MS SQL Server instances and other components like Integration Services, Analysis Services and Reporting Services
- Manage SQL Servers on premise and in Cloud (Azure IaaS/Managed Instance/PaaS)
- Ensuring availability and consistent performance of corporate applications
- Monitoring of backup, replication, performance
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Share knowledge and expertise with other team members
- Provide on-call support in rotation with other team members
Requirements:
- 5+ years with MS SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and cloud (both IaaS and PaaS ideally).
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
- Ansible knowledge
- Fluent written and verbal communication in English
