Summary
We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer with a strong backend orientation to be the first developer in a new team. This is a high-impact role: you’ll shape the team, the technical foundation and the standards the team will follow.
Location: Remote (Poland)
Salary: $77k-$93k/year
What you’ll do
- Be the first engineer in a new team and take broad technical ownership.
- Turn open-ended requirements into stable, scalable designs and implementations.
- Build core backend systems (APIs, async processing, event flows) and drive their delivery end-to-end.
- Define development standards, patterns and engineering practices for the team.
- Collaborate closely with a manager and stakeholders to influence architectural decisions.
- Integrate and operationalise AI/LLM capabilities where they add value.

Technical requirements
- Strong experience in Node.js, React and TypeScript development.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems principles.
- Solid experience in API design, asynchronous processing and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with AI / LLM / OpenAI APIs, or the ability and creativity to make AI work effectively in product contexts.
