Summary: The Senior JavaScript Engineer plays a key role in advancing the company’s digital publishing capabilities by designing and developing scalable APIs and services that enhance the user experience through seamless technology integration.
Main Responsibilities:
- Immerse yourself in the technical ecosystem.
- Develop and test new features, and support existing ones.
- Build reusable code, packages, and libraries for future use.
- Optimize code for speed and scalability within an agreed performance budget.
- Utilize testing frameworks to ensure automated test coverage for platform functionality.
- Collaborate with team members, including the Delivery Manager and Product Owner, to plan new functionalities or major enhancements.
- Write and improve technical documentation when necessary.
Key Requirements:
- Experience developing JavaScript APIs and services using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Experience working with Node/TypeScript in large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, and cloud architecture (preferably AWS).
- Ability to build and work with mixed data formats (structured and unstructured) and storage systems (e.g., blob storage, MySQL, Document Storage).
- Experience in building and integrating with RAG pipelines.
- Experience with multi-step workflows and AI orchestration.
- Familiarity with LLM integration patterns.
- Experience implementing AI solutions on AWS or equivalent platforms.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with model access and orchestration (e.g., Amazon Bedrock).
- Knowledge of vector and semantic search (e.g., Amazon OpenSearch).
