Wordpress Developer

STRATUSstaff is looking for WordPress Developers to join small remote development PODS working across websites, plugins, integrations, fixes, and ongoing improvements.

We're looking for people who can take a WordPress requirement, understand what needs to happen, investigate the system, build the solution, test it, and deliver a finished result.

This is not a role for someone who only installs themes and changes page content.

• WordPress development across themes, blocks, and site administration

• Custom WordPress functionality

• PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development

• Gutenberg and block-based WordPress sites

• Plugins, forms, APIs, and third-party integrations

• WooCommerce and ecommerce-related work where required

• Responsive layout and frontend troubleshooting

• Performance and technical issue investigation

• Fixing broken workflows and existing sites

• Maintaining and improving live WordPress environments

• Documenting setup and completed development work

You should have real hands-on WordPress development experience and be comfortable working independently.

We're particularly interested in developers with:

• Strong WordPress experience

• PHP development experience

• HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills

• Experience with themes, plugins, and Gutenberg/blocks

• Custom development experience

• API or third-party integration experience

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting ability

• Clear written English

• Good documentation habits

• Ability to read technical documentation and research solutions independently

Experience with WooCommerce, custom plugins, REST APIs, Git, automation, or modern JavaScript frameworks is a strong advantage.

Hours: Part-time to full-time depending on available work and capability
