📝 About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimator to support a range of Australian construction projects, including commercial, residential, structural, and joinery works.

In this role, you will take ownership of cost planning, estimation, and measurement across various project stages — from concept design through to tender and delivery. You’ll collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project objectives.

💼 Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, cost plans, and bills of quantities for multiple project types.
• Perform quantity take-offs and measurements from architectural, structural, and joinery drawings.
• Conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, and value engineering to identify efficiencies and opportunities.
• Manage variation assessments and change tracking as designs evolve.
• Support tendering and procurement processes, preparing trade packages and bid comparisons.
• Collaborate with construction managers, design teams, and subcontractors to maintain cost control and consistency.
• Utilize CostX, Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar software for digital take-offs and estimation.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date cost databases, documentation, and reporting.
• Provide cost advice and insights to guide decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

🧠 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Proven experience working on Australian construction projects, ideally across commercial, residential, structural, or joinery sectors.
• In-depth understanding of construction materials, methods, and cost structures within the Australian market.
• Proficiency with either CostX, Bluebeam, or Planswift (preferred).
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a remote, multidisciplinary team.
• Highly organized, proactive, and committed to maintaining cost accuracy and integrity.
