Android Developer

Looking for an Android Developer to join our team, which is disrupting the FinTech and Regtech industries in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

As an Android Developer at Nextbank Software, you will work with highly passionate, ambitious, and talented teams in the Philippines and Poland.

You will be exposed to the latest trends and technologies used in banking

and finance, including micro-services, machine learning, AI, and cloud computing.

Key responsibilities:

• Developing top-quality applications for Android
• Collaborating in code review process
• Working closely with mobile & backend engineers
• Assisting clients in making good decisions and choosing best solutions
• Mentoring less experienced developers

Key expectations:

• 2+ years of Android app development experience
• Very good knowledge of Kotlin
• Experience building UI using Jetpack Compose
• Ability to migrate legacy XML-based UI to Jetpack Compose
• Experience migrating architecture from MVP to MVVM
• Strong understanding of Coroutines, Flows, and Android ViewModels
• Good knowledge of Android SDK
• Familiarity with client/server applications (REST API, JSON)
• Knowledge of Android HTTP clients and other libraries common in Android development
• Ability to debug and profile applications
• Knowledge of typical Android development environment (Android Studio, Gradle, git)
• Willingness to learn new technologies

Nice to have skills and competences:

• Experience in Dart and Flutter
• Knowledge of the Google Play lifecycle and Firebase services
• Familiarity with best practices in app security (code obfuscation, cryptography)
