Job Purpose and Role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who will support the development, implementation, and optimization of infrastructure and DevOps practices across production, Integration, Release Candidate, and development environments. This role contributes to the DevOps function within the Platform Team, with a focus on stability, scalability, automation, and continuous improvement, and is built around active, daily use of AI-assisted and agentic tooling from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Platform team members, contributing to a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Build and maintain DevOps tooling and automation pipelines supporting CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring, and security.
• Support the release management process, including automation, versioning, and cross-team coordination.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and management of Azure-based infrastructure and services, supporting the Company's ongoing migration from on-prem environments.
• Apply strong critical thinking skills to troubleshoot complex issues, evaluate tradeoffs, and support data-driven infrastructure decisions.
• Partner with developers, QA, and system administrators to implement scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
• Automate and orchestrate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and maintenance processes.
• Participate in infrastructure-related incident management and root cause analysis (RCA) efforts.
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, systems, and processes in line with team standards.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools, including emerging AI and agentic tooling, to improve platform operations and developer experience.
• Work cross-functionally and apply DevOps best practices throughout the organization.

AI & Tooling Focus

• Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude, Cursor, or similar) as a core part of your daily workflow, not an afterthought.
• Design, run, and refine agentic workflows that carry multi-step infrastructure and pipeline work end to end, with human review at the right checkpoints.
• Apply LLM orchestration patterns against internal systems such as Azure DevOps, source repositories, and monitoring, including tool and function calling and MCP-based integrations.
• Apply prompt and context engineering techniques to improve the speed and quality of AI-generated pipeline code, IaC, and scripts.
• Use AI tooling in incident triage, log and telemetry analysis, RCA drafting, and documentation.
• Review, test, and take full responsibility for AI-generated output before it reaches shared or production environments.
• Follow established AI governance guardrails around quality, security, and responsible use, and flag gaps as you find them.
• Share effective prompts, agent workflows, and patterns with the broader engineering team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, software development, systems administration, or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
• Experience with AI agentic workflows, including multi-step orchestration, tool/function calling, and establishing appropriate guardrails.
• Strong experience with cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Azure Pipelines, Azure Artifacts, Azure DevOps, or TFS.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming with languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, Perl, PHP, or SQL.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure and networking, including web servers, Windows Server, firewalls, TCP/IP, HTTP, and DNS.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with developers, system administrators, product owners, and end users.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience building or maintaining MCP servers or custom tool integrations that give agents access to internal systems.
• Agentic workflows embedded directly in CI/CD pipelines, release gates, or operational runbooks.
• Experience with agentic CLI tooling such as Claude Code, including running longer unattended or semi-attended tasks safely.
• Prompt and context engineering at team scale: shared rules files, repo-level conventions, reusable prompt libraries.
• Experience measuring AI tooling usage, cost, and output quality across a team.
• Prior work modernizing legacy or monolithic systems with AI-assisted development.
