About The Role
We are looking for an Accountant with hands-on experience supporting Australian businesses. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations.
You’ll be part of a collaborative team with exposure to end-to-end accounting functions and AU regulatory requirements.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare BAS, GST, and other AU compliance requirements
- Assist with payroll processing and reporting where applicable
- Liaise with internal teams and clients to resolve financial queries
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with Australian accounting standards
What we’re looking for
- Minimum 2–3 years of accounting experience supporting Australian clients
- Strong working knowledge of AU tax and compliance requirements, including BAS and GST
- Experience with any of the following platforms:
- Xero
- MYOB
- QuickBooks Online (AU)
- Solid understanding of end-to-end accounting processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
