Job Description

The Business Capability Analyst Manager sits at the heart of the product delivery process — bridging the gap between business intent and technical execution. The role takes well-formed product requirements and refines them into clear, complete functional specifications that technology teams can confidently build against.

This is a role for someone who loves getting requirements right — spotting gaps, asking the right questions, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks between what the business wants and what gets built.

Requirements & Documentation

  • Review and refine Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and experience journeys produced by the Product team
  • Define clear acceptance criteria and business rules for each requirement
  • Conduct requirement analysis and define clear problem statements to support solution design
  • Identify ambiguities, edge cases, and missing logic before they become delivery problems
  • Develop and maintain accurate functional documentation, standards, and procedures throughout the delivery lifecycle


Delivery & Execution

  • Support end-to-end project delivery in collaboration with internal teams and technology partners
  • Contribute to simplification and standardization of complex architectures and solutions
  • Adhere to defined processes, procedures, and governance standards
  • Participate in convergence and migration projects as required
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and improvement


Collaboration & Alignment

  • Work closely with Architects in joint refinement sessions to validate that functional requirements are complete and solutionable
  • Collaborate with IT partners and cross-functional teams across business units
  • Engage with stakeholders to clarify, align, and sign off on requirements
  • Participate in sessions with vendor partners to ensure requirements are understood and agreed upon
  • Support senior leadership in communicating requirements, progress, and risks


Strategy & Roadmap

  • Contribute to product enhancement roadmaps and technology evolution plans


Top 3-5 Deliverables

  • Complete, clear functional requirements and BRDs for assigned workstreams, ready for architecture review
  • Defined acceptance criteria and business rules per requirement
  • Documented edge cases, gap analysis, and requirement clarification logs
  • Up-to-date functional documentation and standards throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Requirements inputs validated with Architecture and aligned with Product and Vendor partners within assigned scope


Hiring Requirements

  • Work Experience: At least 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a software or technology environment. Experience working in cross-functional delivery teams alongside Product, Tech, and Architecture. Exposure to third-party vendors or system integrators is an advantage.
  • Level of Knowledge: Working knowledge of Telco domain (Prepaid, Postpaid, B2B, Digital Channels, customer lifecycle). Familiarity with HLD/LLD documentation. Agile or hybrid delivery methodology experience preferred.
  • Education: University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Soft: Analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, stakeholder facilitation, clear written and verbal communication (English), proactive risk identification, collaboration, attention to detail, ability to work independently within assigned scope
  • Hard: Functional requirements writing, acceptance criteria definition, BRD/HLD/LLD documentation, gap analysis, requirements traceability, Agile methodology, process mapping, API and microservices awareness, Telco domain knowledge (Prepaid/Postpaid/B2B/Digital Channels)
  • Certification/License: CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or equivalent is an advantage. Agile/Scrum certification (e.g. CSM, PSPO) preferred.
