About The Role
As a Senior Java Developer at Sogeti, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust Java-based applications and microservices. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on challenging projects within cloud environments, influencing architectural decisions, and implementing modern development practices such as CI/CD and DevOps. You will lead and mentor team members, contribute to architectural discussions, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs. Qualifications
- Minimum of six years of professional experience as a Java Developer in complex development environments
- Extensive knowledge of Java, Java frameworks, and modern software development principles
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud platforms
- Proven track record in coaching and guiding team members
- Strong analytical skills and focus on results
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Fluent in Dutch (C1 level) and proficient in English, both spoken and written
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications and microservices, often within cloud environments
- Contribute to architectural decisions, select appropriate design patterns, and ensure future-proof solutions
- Lead technical discussions, review code, and ensure adherence to security principles and best practices
- Mentor and coach team members to foster technical growth and knowledge sharing
- Participate actively in community events, meetups, and conferences to stay updated on the latest industry trends
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and secure software solutions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, testing, and deployment processes
- Support the development of innovative solutions that align with client requirements and organizational goals
