Lead Process Operator

THE OPPORTUNITY – LEAD PROCESS OPERATOR, OFFSHORE NL (STAFF)

This role exists to ensure the safe and efficient performance of installations and satellites. The role holder monitors and controls process operations of manned and unmanned installations, and identifies and resolves operational problems when they arise, in order to contribute to delivering production objectives within approved budgets and plans. The role holder ensures compliance with all governmental and company regulations, legislation, procedures and standards, including HSE and Competence Assurance.

Once in role, you will be accountable for:

Process Control

• Supervise and control operational activities and equipment on manned installations by monitoring panel views in the control room, checking for progress, identifying problems and taking appropriate actions, in line with operational objectives and planning, in order to ensure safe control of the daily processes and keep production flowing. Identify opportunities for process and performance improvement and identify anomalies, to maximize operational performance.

Sampling

• Check sampling and ensure samples logged, logs are accurate and maintained in accordance with company rules, to be able to provide information about the quality of materials.

Report

• Report to the Shift Supervisor the progress of daily operational activities on the platform, operational and production trends based on panel views, and identify potential problem areas, to provide insight to the Shift Supervisor and OIM (as appropriate) to contribute to decision-making.

Inhibit and Isolation Control

• Set inhibits and arrange isolations for manned and unmanned installations, minimize the number of inhibits and isolations and advice the Shift Supervisor on long-term inhibits and isolations, considering required performance and risk requirements, to enable safe operational and maintenance activities.

Technical Training

• Provide on the job technical training, coaching, guidance, and assistance to Process Operators, based on knowledge and experience in own area of expertise, to ensure qualified personnel are available.

Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Competence Assurance

• Operate all offshore production facilities in a safe and environmentally friendly way. Support establishment and maintenance of a high level of HSEQ awareness among offshore operations personnel and encourage their commitment to meeting HSEQ standards. Enforce and supervise compliance with HSEQ regulations, standards, policies, and procedures for all offshore production personnel, including contractor and other third-party employees. Participate in the emergency team to ensure fast resolution of emergency situations and protect the safety and security of all personnel and equipment. Complete the allocated Units of Competence related to Process operations and HSE.

Night Shift Variant - Gas nominations

• Contact gas buyers and update them about discrepancies of the nominations made regarding nightly and hourly production, in order to keep them informed and satisfied during the night.

Safety

Understands the health, safety, environmental and associated legal requirements that are relevant to the work and ensure the team complies with these. Help the team to understand and actively promote issues regarding health, safety, and the environment.

ABOUT YOU..

You’ll need to have significant offshore experience in the E&P industry and have all relevant offshore certification and medicals in place.

• Run operational tasks as efficiently as possible, balance planned and unplanned activities
• Good communication skills
