What will you be doing?

Project Management Generic

Site supervision process:
• Accountable for the delivery of the installation project
• Accountable for Site Safety
• Responsible for securing efficient management of environmental aspects of the installation (waste handling, hazardous material, minization of travel)
• Accountable for the financial result of the project (cannot be responsible for costs associated with changes in factory prices or exchange rate variables)
• Participates to the sales/installation hand-over and validates the term of the order received from the customer together with the salesperson
• Prepares the overall installation program and resource planning
• Responsible for planning and organizing the delivery and storage of materials and tools to the site and placing the orders to subcontractors and Non KONE factory material suppliers
• Responsible for site preparations and follow-up of site readiness
• Accountable for use of correct KONE installation methods throughout the installation
• Ensures cost control as per action plans during budget, and pre-calculated CM2% towards achieving the R80 targets
• Responsible for administrative activities of the project including daily human resource management (absences, time sheet review/approvals) and reports project progress (schedule, installation hours, fitter time sheets, budget and risks) to his superiors
• Responsible for maintaining project documentation
• Updates information to company management systems (eg S-plan milestone updates)
• Collaborates with Accounts payable / Controlling to ensure site activities are planned and executed in accordance with contractual payment terms and actual payments received.
• Accountable for final testing of the equipment and handover to maintenance

Customer and Sub-contractor Relationship management:
• Accountable for customer satisfaction and quality of installation
• Accountable for Sub-contractor quality and Safety performance
• Single point of contact towards the customer during installation regarding site management, responsible for internal and external communication during the project
• Aims at achieving allocated sales targets and add-on sales and variations during installations
• Develops and maintains a cordial and professional relationship with the sub-contractors

What will you do?

Testing

• Liaises with relevant site personnel to ascertain state of lift. Posts notices on lift and communicate with the others who may be affected
• Ensures that the lift is electrically safe
• Commissions the lift in accordance with the agreed specification parameters
• Tests the lift in accordance with the relevant test document and KONE standard interpretation of EN81, SS550 Lift Directive and/or Design (Essential Health & Safety Requirements compliance)
• Takes measurements and completes the necessary documentation
• Records any abnormalities for corrective action or inclusion in H&RA for the lift/site
• Carries out final inspection and signs the Final inspection document
• The Tester reports the condition of the lift to the Installation Supervisor who is responsible for all the site activities. The Tester will give snagging items list to the Fitter and a copy to the Installation Supervisor. The Tester should not make any other communication outside the company without permission from the supervisor.
• Takes part in meetings and work groups related to quality and technical issues is responsible for the lift well security (safe for other trades and public etc) and safety of all persons involved in the installation activities during commissioning and testing of the lift (or escalator)

• Cooperation with local finance, supporting performing classic controlling activities such as budgeting, on time and quality month end closing, actual results reporting (e.g. Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow etc) and forecast preparation incl. variance analysis
• Continues process improvement and simplification combined with tasks automation
• Support strategic and long-term planning for supporting business line.
• Provide advice and support to the finance and business community on reporting and accounting matters

What do we expect from you:

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Master degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Self-motivated and result driven personality with project management skills.
• Ability to influence and drive improvement in processes incl. effective communication is a must.
• Sound business acumen, demonstrating the ability to combine the key commercial and financial drivers with understanding of core business issues and challenges
• Excellent knowledge of Excel is a must, knowledge of SAP and related SAP BPC tool will be an asset
• Fluent command of English (verbal and written) is a must
• Ambitious and open for future development
• Business Partnering mindset and can do attitude
• Key soft-skill: problem solving, analytical thinking, drive & energy to act, continuous improvement & collaboration,
