As a Manager, Tissue Diagnostics Science you will use your knowledge of tissue based diagnostic assays including immuno-histochemistry (IHC), in situ hybridization (ISH) and other ground breaking technologies and approaches (multiplexing, multi-immunofluorescence, Digital pathology and artificial intelligence etc.) to provide scientific and technical expertise to deliver innovative tissue diagnostic approaches to AstraZeneca's clinical portfolio, through strategic partnerships with leading diagnostic companies.

Main duties and responsibilities
In this role you will be responsible in leading the strategic, statistical thinking and contributions to the Development Plans, Regulatory Strategy, Health Technology Assessment and Commercial Presentation for indications/projects within an AZ product team.
You will provide leadership to statistical staff on the indications/projects so that all work is carried out with regards to AZ standards and external regulations; through partnership with experts, developing design options and providing high quality decision support to enable the business to make informed decisions; quantifying the benefit, risk, value and uncertainty of the emerging product profile.
You will be holding CRO/Partners accountable for the high quality standards of their deliverables. You will represent AZ and Statistics to Health Authorities and Reimbursement/Payer Organizations for specific projects/indications.
You will apply expert skills to investigate, apply novel statistical approaches, for relevant statistical issues and/or regulatory guidance and/or value demonstration. You will mentor/coach and support the education and training of Statistics staff in the technical arena.

We are committed to advancing the science of oncology to deliver life-changing medicines to people most in need. Our broad pipeline of next-generation medicines is focused on the disease areas of: breast, ovarian, lung, gastrointestinal, genitourinary and haematological cancers, using four key scientific approaches: immunotherapy, tumour drivers and resistance mechanisms, DNA damage response, and antibody-drug conjugates.
What you'll do:
As the Oncology Account Manager, you will be responsible for generating clinical demand for Oncology brands within key hospital accounts (hub and spoke), pro-actively identifying business opportunities and recommending solutions to drive and develop business.
Key Responsibilities include:
Accountable for increasing prescribing of your brand through effective promotion to senior/influential customers within a defined set of key accounts through enhanced key account management working.
Pro-actively identifying account needs.
Development of Local Advocates in allocated accounts
Cultivate relationships with key internal and external partners that will realise business outcomes in the short, medium and long term.
Essential skills and experience:
Experience and success ideally within Oncology
Secondary care sales experience with a sound knowledge of key account management within a speciality care environment
Proven track record of sales & business management success in speciality secondary care
Proven track record in influencing the prescribing decision-making process across key accounts
Excellent business sense, demonstrating good analytical, planning and interpersonal skills
Resilience
Self-starter and effective problem solver- responsible for own actions and results
Strong communication and team working
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Full driving licence
