Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Quality Assurance or related field.

Minimum 3 years of experience in quality engineering or related roles in the semiconductor manufacturing industry.

Strong knowledge of quality management systems, quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and semiconductor manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), quality tools (e.g., FMEA, Control Plans, Pareto Analysis), and quality management methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma).

Experience with IQC, IPQC, and OQA processes in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and levels of the organization.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in quality assurance activities.

Familiarity with semiconductor industry standards and customer requirements is a plus.

Job Scope :

- Inspect outgoing parts and incoming sub-contracted parts according to established procedure / specification of inspection and carry out Incoming Process Inspection.

- Maintain quality record and file quality data.

- Highlight quality problems discovered to the QA Manager and Factory Manager / Production Manager / Asst. Production Manager for action.

- Ensure that all non-conforming products are not mixed with good products prior to disposition.

- Authorise the rejection of parts if found unsatisfactory.

- Authorise the release of conforming parts to be sent to the store for subsequent delivery to customers.

- Perform factory routine test and check of switchboards completed in the workshop.

- Testing and commissioning of switchboards on board vessels or on-site to the satisfaction of customers; and attend to warranty claims / quality complaints.

- Conduct official tests on the switchboards which require witnessing by surveyors or consultants and also maybe with the presence of customers.

- Assist the Manager in quality responsibilities and achieving quality objectives.

- Maintain good housekeeping in the QA Department.

- Observe and adhere to safety rules during the performance of every task.

- Ensure the use of calibrated instrument for inspection.

- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of Product Non-Conformity.

- Initiate, recommend or provide solutions to problem detected.

- Verify the implementation of solutions.

- Control further processing and delivery of Non-Conforming products until the deficiency has been corrected.

- Carry out other responsibilities as and when assigned by the superiors.

Responsibilities:

• Provide sustaining support for deployed fixtures to ensure minimal down time and customer impact.
• Coordinates/Performs test fixture PM and Calibration activities as scheduled and follows-up on OOT issues as required.
• Interfaces with other test engineers and customers to coordinate the deployment of new test fixtures. Begin evaluating, designing and project managing own test fixture projects and solicit assistance as needed.
• Documents and tracks deployment issues to closure and initiates appropriate engineering change request as required.
• Uses basic engineering principles to estimate and reduce test fixture development costs and improve delivered fixture quality;
• Develops and uses test procedures. Assists with the definition of test specifications with design, software, and manufacturing engineering. May assist in the coordination and/or execution of test fixture sourcing activities.
• Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results; may take corrective/continuous improvement actions.
• Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies. Participates in the development and maintenance of new and existing business processes; updates as necessary to ensure current practices are documented.
• Determines root cause and corrective action analysis for issues that arise during design and deployment of test fixtures and provides failure analysis report as required.
• Performs Process Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis when working with New Product/Fixture Development.
• Stay current with advancements in testing methodologies and technologies within the semiconductor industry.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree holder in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or a related field.
• At least 3-year working experience in testing engineering role & Proven experience in test engineering, preferably in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Knowledge in C/C++ Programming, PLC Programming, Java, Functional Tests and Hardware Troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of test equipment, data acquisition systems, and testing methodologies.
• Analytical & problem solving skills with attention to details.
• Investigative mind, paying attention to small details and good observer.
• Strong analytical skills, able to identify discrepancies during the test process

As an Electrical Test Engineer you will be responsible for developing electrical test sequences within PRODIS Automation environment based on the Java scripting platform. You will also manage and update the electrical test system (UPS) for the inclusion of the listed features and release the tool to production.

In your first few weeks in this Electrical Test Engineer role, you can expect to:

• Analyse the vehicle feature changes required to be implemented into the electrical test system and the impacted modules/ECUs by the change
• Prepare a test plan detailing the test sequence, Diagnostic services, I/O and self-test routines, timeouts, and test pass criteria
