A. Application Lifecycle Management

• Manage or coordinate assigned IT projects to ensure successful execution within predefined parameters.

Brief Summary:

Join Edmund Optics in advancing our technologies, capabilities, and talents to fulfill our 2040 strategy. As Senior Manager of Advanced Manufacturing and Technology, you'll collaborate deeply with customers, Business Lines, R&D, and Manufacturing Technology to develop new products and enhance manufacturing and metrology processes. You will lead the Engineering and Product Management teams, as well as advanced manufacturing departments.

Job Description:

• Calculate, evaluate, and develop new optical components in deep collaboration with Manufacturing Technology and Operations.
• Ensure stable manufacturing of new optical components using existing and/or new equipment. Implement new processes and equipment into the advanced manufacturing areas.
• Work closely with the Business Lines and the manufacturing Technology teams on road maps and future investment plans.
• Lead continuous improvement projects of existing processes using modern problem-solving techniques.
• Liaise with Sales and the Business Lines to target new market opportunities and interface directly with selected customers on relevant custom projects.
• Manage and develop the engineering and product management teams.
• Lead the advance manufacturing departments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field, Master preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in advanced manufacturing.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Basic knowledge in Optical Coatings, Optical Design, Optical Fabrication, Optical Physics, Opto-Mechanical principles and other technical areas within the Optical Industry.
• Experience with Design of Experiments and ANOVA testing.
• Able to communicate effectively and build relationships with people from different cultures or diverse backgrounds.
