JOB TITLE: Quality Engineer
SALARY: £68,202 to £75,780
LOCATION: Edinburgh
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.

You will be accountable for running and leading testing across our Monthly Release cycle, assuring the quality of delivery into these Releases and managing the raising of defects and backlog items for addressing either within the current Sprint or for prioritisation for future sprints. You will be working with a peer or reporting team of other Quality Engineers and will need to be detailed yet flexible as befits Agile delivery.
What will you be doing with us?
Leading, Innovating & working as part of an agile team
Looking to automate testing where appropriate, updating and streamlining the test automation framework & coding standards deployed within the team.
Use your experience of modern software development toolsets and demonstrate the ability to stretch into DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines
Defining and Leading Quality Engineering and Assurance work ensuring the highest quality of shippable products and quality artifacts.
Develop yourselves with industry standards, methods and tooling used across our engineering teams and introduce new concepts, approaches and tooling

What you’ll need
Experience of test automation QE experience in shift left engineering using latest cutting edge technology earlier in the life cycle and set code review best practices on BDD scripts in both desktop applications and mobile applications.
An understanding of Java / JavaScript/ NodeJS / Postman / TDD/BDD Best Practices or alternatively hands-on experience with Java programming and capable of building the test framework from the beginning.
Previous experience of performance testing
Using toolsets such as Selenium, UFT, ALM, Postman, Cloud based and Performance test tools, Continuous Integration Tools, Service virtualization with a focus on industry leading and open-source tooling
Work "hands-on" alongside all other Engineering Disciplines
