The sales role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, plan, and implement site environmental, health, and safety procedures/programs and ensure alignment with Global EHS policies, operation control procedures, goals, and objectives.
• Ensure site compliance with government and local EHS & Sustainability compliance regulations and handle all contact with appropriate agencies. Ensure required regulatory and internal performance metric reports are submitted accurately and within the established timeline.
• In the context of the EHS program, other responsibilities include regulatory interpretations, planning, auditing, and evaluation and implementation of information systems.
• Analyze loss control and accident reports and develop, implement, and maintain procedures to minimize losses or accidents.
• Ensure appropriate corrective action is taken where environmental, health, and safety hazards exist.
• Conduct the material handling and ergonomics assessment for employees and formulate solutions to ergonomics hazards.
• Review and approve the contractor permit to work via the e-PTW (Electronic Permit To Work) system.
• Review and control risk assessment and environmental aspects in the workplace with relevant stakeholders
• Coordinate site emergency response team and drill exercise as well as the medical emergency response plan  
• Compliance with local law requirements on workplace industrial hygiene monitoring, air emission, water discharge, noise, hazardous wastes, etc.
• Submit accurate regulatory and performance metric reports as required.

Our Medical Affairs team advances patient care by engaging in scientific exchange with external medical experts and industry leaders ensuring the scientific value of our products is understood. We connect, communicate and train internal employees to ensure a thorough understanding of the science behind the medicine and review further unmet medical needs to support collaboration to further differentiate our portfolio.

The Medical Advisor holds primary responsibility within the country for the development and execution of the Medical Affairs Plans for his/her assigned assets. The Medical Advisor is a valued co-strategist within cross-functional country teams, serving as a key liaison between internal and external stakeholders. In addition to facilitating peer-to-peer medical exchanges and engaging with scientific leaders and key decision makers to advance therapeutic and patient care knowledge, the Medical Advisor synthesizes actionable insights to inform portfolio strategies and lifecycle management. They translate global medical priorities and consolidated insights into localized strategies, driving initiatives such as real-world data generation, scientific communication, and educational programs aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and access to healthcare.  The Medical Advisor may have opportunities to manage multiple countries based on company strategies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 Asset Management & Business Leadership

• Being product and disease state experts to contribute to the development and execution of medical strategy through the Medical Affairs Plans.

• Defining and maintaining a roster of Scientific Leaders (SLs) and Key Decision Makers (KDMs) in their therapeutic area and interacting with identified SLs and healthcare administrators (KDMs) by exchanging balanced medical / scientific information.

• Consolidate actionable medical insights from the country on scientific gaps, ideas and other topics gathered from Scientific exchange to inform areas of interest, clinical trial programs, development programs and company TA strategy.

• Adapt the Global Medical Goals and Strategies into the country’s context, to support/lead initiatives in local real-world data generation, facilitate scientific communication, educational programs, and other tactics and solutions to improve patient outcomes and enhance access in the country.

• Alert investigators to Company program for Investigator Initiated Study Proposals and to the process for submitting investigator designed proposals for review and approval; encourage and facilitate research publication of studies supported by the company, in strict compliance with global/local guidance.

• Work with GCTO to identify potential investigators for Phase 1, 2 and 3 clinical trials.

• Support execution of and quickly adapt tactical plan to business realities in country.

• Act with ethics & integrity; provide non-promotional, balanced, reliable, and scientific information, follow strictly company standards and local regulations.

• The Medical Advisor is responsible for ensuring that they are fully versed in the therapeutic area and up-to-date on: all major studies, both ongoing and completed; product information on company and other companies’ relevant therapies; clinical data and relevant pipeline data to provide the most accurate data to SLs, KDMs and the healthcare community, in a balanced way, to improve patient care.

• Build trust with external scientific community via peer-to-peer scientific exchange, research and educational collaborations, interactions with scientific societies and health organizations, publications, or others.

• Providing on-label medical insights and training to internal colleagues, including information on competitor products, as well as disease states relevant to their therapeutic area.

• Develop and execute country medical educational programs and symposia.

• Lead country advisory boards and group input forums to inform company strategy.

• Communicate both scientific and business needs credibly, appropriately, and effectively across a variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

• Infuse country’s scientific and healthcare environment perspective into Regional Medical Affairs Team.

• Support, collaborate and lead resolution of Regulatory, Reputational (i.e. Public Relations), Compliance and other Asset issues management

• Support and collaborate in the successful management of asset safety or quality issues, i.e. contribute content and strategy in regulatory responses and interactions, risk management planning and implementation
   

Medical Information

• Respond to unsolicited requests for medical, scientific, pipeline, organization product information from SLs or KDMs utilizing appropriate approved scientific, and review/approval of local response documents.

What should you have:

• MD, PhD, PharmD or Pharmacist degree is required;

• 2-3 years in-field customer facing role and experience in the pharmaceutical industry is desired.

• Knowledge of local pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulatory/reimbursement framework, and clinical research guidelines.

• Strategic thinking, specifically related to asset value proposition, and clinical and value evidence.

• Developing a network of scientific leaders and successful interactions with other key stakeholders (public groups, government officials, medical professional organizations) in therapy areas.

• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, communication (written as well as oral) and results oriented project management skills.

• Strong prioritization skills and ability to understand how decisions fit into the broader context of corporate strategies.

• In a matrix environment, able to effectively collaborate across functions.

• (Preferred) Network of medical, clinical contacts in Product/
  Therapeutic area.

Regulatory Affairs Manager - Animal Health

Primary Responsibilities

Regulatory

• Product registration

• Plan, manage and oversee RA activities within the coverage region

• Manage and oversee all product’s regulatory lifecycle process; submission; approval and maintenance activities (variation, renewal) in relation to the following national regulatory authorities as follows:

Malaysia

- Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) Putrajaya, Sabah & Sarawak, MoA

- National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA), MoH

- Pharmaceutical Services Division (BPF), MoH

- Pesticides Board, MoA

Singapore

- Animal & Veterinary Services (AVS) / National Parks Board (NPARKS), MoA

Brunei

- Division of Livestock and Veterinary Service, MoA

- Department of Fisheries, MoA

• Act as Poison A (Wholesale) License holder
• Assess registration feasibility and acceptability of products for importation
• Registration timeline setting and communication to RA team as well as local and global cross-functional units
• Identify data needed, prepare and/or obtain data and review to ensure that they are effectively presented for the registration of product
• Interact with and present to national regulatory authorities on regulatory related new product submissions strategies and maintenance of current product portfolio, as applicable
• Manage positive networking relationship with national regulatory authorities as necessary
• Provide regulatory review of variation proposals, labeling and additional submission documents
• Assess regulatory of product variations on product lifecycle and communicate as necessary to line-management and cross functional teams
• Collaborate with global regulatory affairs functions to develop global regulatory submission and approval strategies
• Provide correspondence to national regulatory authority enquiry(s) for products responsible
• Provide regulatory advice and guidance to line-management and cross functional teams to ensure product submissions and importations meet regulatory requirements
• Review and verify packaging labels where applicable, revise labels by using PDF program per local regulatory authority requirement for registration and importation
• Develop SOPs and provide regulatory input to product life-cycle planning
• Manage secondary repackaging procedures in line with SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Maintain up-to-date legal and regulatory knowledge on the registration, import and sale of products.
• Oversee and develop a team of highly motivated, experienced and dedicated direct reports

Education Minimum Requirement:

• Graduates with Science related degree eg. Veterinary science / Animal science BioMedical, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biotechnology etc.
   

Required Experience and Skills:

• 5-7 years in Regulatory Affairs of Animal Health industries
• Experienced in handling registration of veterinary biological products, dealing with Department of Veterinary Services (DVS).
• Veterinarian or Pharmacist are welcome
