This position is located under the Office of Professional Responsibility and Security Operations, Personnel Security Division, located in District of Columbia, District of Columbia.

The primary purpose of this position is responsible for administering, developing, implementing, and managing the Bureau's multi-faceted personnel security program for all applicants, employees, and non-ATF personnel (contractors, task force officers (TFOs) and volunteers) to determine their eligibility or continued eligibility for access to the Bureau's information, information technology systems, and facilities. The incumbent is responsible for interpreting and administering all personnel security regulations as prescribed by and in accordance with Executive Orders and other external regulatory directives. The incumbent makes decisions to award, suspend or revoke National Security Information Program clearances for all employees and contractors in the Bureau.

As a Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist (Chief, Personnel Security Division), GS-0080-15, your typical work assignments may include:

• Exercises full management authority over subordinate staff which includes branch chiefs, analysts, personnel security specialists, support personnel, and nearly 250 contract special investigators located at Bureau Headquarters and throughout the country.
• Prepares budgetary forecasts, requirements, and justifications for the activities and programs of the Division and manages centrally controlled contract budgetary items for which the Division is responsible.
• Plans and directs studies and surveys to evaluate personnel security programs and services to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
• Manages a program which provides certification of personnel security clearances to other agencies thus permitting ATF personnel access at official functions, including law enforcement activities.
• Represents the Bureau at a variety of interagency or external conferences (e.g., Security Directors' Conferences), seminars, meetings and working groups dealing with government security issues. Participates in formulating procedures, changes to existing security practices, and solutions to problems implemented on a Bureau-wide, and at times on a government-wide basis.

This position is located under the Office of Professional Responsibility and Security Operations (OPRSO) in District of Columbia, District of Columbia.

The primary purpose of this position is to function as Chief of Staff for the Directorate with responsibility for supervision, analyzing, developing, and implementing administrative and operational activities impacting Directorate operations. The incumbent has authority to represent
the interests of the Directorate on a plethora of administrative and operational matters that include, but are not limited to, budgetary activities, strategic planning, fiscal resources, personnel resources and information technology issues affecting Directorate operations. In the absence of
the AD and the Deputy Assistant Director (DAD), OPRSO is the principal advisor to the Deputy Director on matters impacting Directorate operations.

As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst (Chief of Staff), GS-0343-15, your typical work assignments may include:

• Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates; sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities.

The purpose of this position is to ensure that ATF receives expert privacy compliance support, on a programmatic level, to meet all the Bureau's rapidly evolving privacy compliance requirements within the federal law enforcement and regulatory environment. The incumbent of this position directly manages ATF privacy program staff, and directly oversees and leads all aspects of ATF's privacy program, on a day-to-day basis. The incumbent of this position also serves at ATF Privacy Officer by ensuring timely and accurate privacy compliance and privacy risk management support to ATF offices, employees, and officials at all levels.

As a Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (Privacy Branch Chief/Privacy Officer), GS-2210-15, your typical work assignments may include:

• In a supervisory capacity, overseeing the assessment, evaluation, and management of privacy program efforts pertaining to the development, implementation, maintenance, measurement, and adherence to all laws and policies relating to privacy compliance. The incumbent will ensure programmatic implementation of privacy compliance requirements, including the assessment and management of privacy risks with respect to ATF's collection, storage, use, and dissemination of any information concerning individual persons. This entails strategic planning, the development of privacy policies, and the establishment and oversight of controls within ATF to ensure ongoing compliance with a broad array of law and policies relating to privacy, including the Privacy Act of 1974, the E-Government Act of 2002, the Federal Information Security Modernization Act of 2014 (FISMA), Executive Orders, OMB (Office of Management and Budget) directives, and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidance.
• As a privacy subject matter expert, the incumbent provides technically proficient privacy compliance and privacy risk management advice and support to ATF offices, officials, and stakeholders. These privacy compliance and risk management responsibilities require collaboration with other ATF offices, including the Office of Science and Technology (OST) and Office of Chief Counsel, as well as with other DOJ offices and components, particularly DOJ's Office of Privacy and Civil Liberties (OPCL), the Justice Management Division (JMD), and DOJ law enforcement components.

This position is located under the Office of Enforcement Programs and Services (EPS), National Tracing Center Division, located in Martinsburg, West Virginia.

This position serves as the Deputy Chief, National Tracing Center (NTC), with responsibility for the Bureau Firearms Tracing Program; an ATF developed and managed firearms tracing system. The purpose of this program is to gather, analyze and disseminate the commercial history and movement of firearms with the goal of combating violent crime and terrorism worldwide.

Duties for this position may include:

• Assists in the planning, development, and direction of NTC program objectives, goals, resources requirements and milestones for the Firearms Tracing Program.

As the Deputy Assistant Director, Office of Enforcement Programs and Services your typical work assignments may include:

• Planning, directing, coordinating and executing programs involved with developing and providing policy guidance and technical support relative to firearms and explosives to all functions of the Bureau.
• Knowledge of the Federal and State laws, regulations, court decisions and court procedures relating to firearms and explosives. Must also be thoroughly familiar with laws and regulations administered or enforced by other Federal agencies which affect the firearms and explosives industries, or which have direct or indirect bearing upon violations of the laws enforced by the Bureau.
• Assures correct interpretation of policies and regulations on the part of subordinate officials and in conjunction with the Assistant Director, EPS, initiates programs of unusual complexity which may result in significant changes in the policies and practices of the Bureau.
