Responsibilities for building electrician

• Installing and maintaining, repairing building electrical distribution systems
• Monitor the operations and make customer approved adjustments of chilled water systems, heat exchangers, CRAC Units, HVAC, electrical systems, emergency back-up systems, hot water systems, pumps, valves, filters and other mechanical and electrical equipment
• Installing outlets, disconnects, motor starters, inside and outside lighting systems, frequency drives, building safety equipment, fans, pumps, and motors, and other electrical-related systems, fire alarm systems
• Maintain and repair the mechanical, electrical, security and fire protection systems that protect and support business critical information systems (servers, mainframes, etc)
• A working understanding of commercial three phase electrical systems
• Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble a variety of electrical appliances, controls and equipment following established procedures
• Diagnose and correct malfunctions in interior and exterior electrical circuits
• Test electrical equipment to identify and fix malfunctions
• Assist with job site and general safety, including general ground support, staging materials, and general site preparation and clean-up
• Ensure that all equipment stays in line with electrical codes, regulations, and standards

Qualifications for building electrician

• 4 years of general building maintenance experience and/or electrician experience, including a practical ability to perform various carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks
• Ability to perform work from ladders, scaffolds and powered lift platforms
• Ability to assemble and disassemble various types of modular office furniture including partitions and wall sections

What you'll be doing;

• Fault diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Combined Heat and Power plants and utility plants (Gas Engines and Boilers, Etc).
  
• Routine operational tasks to comply with legislation and company procedures.
  
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
  
• Maintenance and publication of plant quality records and reports.
  
• Issue of Permits to Work in accordance with company authorisation levels.
  
• Compilation of reports detailing incidents and accidents in accordance with company procedures
  

What we're looking for;

General Description

The incumbent is part of the ICE team who oversees safe and effective execution of all instrumentation and electrical maintenance services at the LNG Terminal.

Roles & Responsibilities

The incumbent shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following scope of tasks and duties:

• Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance for all instrument and electrical equipment in a timely and cost effective manner
• Perform basic calibration, tuning and troubleshooting activities for process transmitters, control valves, programmable logic controllers, supervisory control and data acquisition, analysers, gas metering flow computer system, tank gauging system, ACMV, Fire and Gas System
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting activities on motors, MCC, transformers and switchgears, variable speed drive, UPS, gas engine generators among others
• Perform electrical tag out and log out for specific work orders under supervisors’ instructions
• Maintain proper PM records performed and update records of all jobs performed in SAP application
• Provide support on plant modification work such that it is carried out in safely and in accordance to quality standard set by the company
• The incumbent shall be also be part of the company’s Emergency Response Team (CERT) and perform any assigned roles and responsibilities (i.e fire fighter etc) for such purposes.

Work Experience

• Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the oil and petrochemical refinery or power generation industry
• Familiar with permit to work system, hazardous area classifications and Process Plant Workplace Safety and Health requirement
• Proficient in usage of Microsoft Office and trained in the use of the CMMS SAP

Education

Candidate shall be equipped with professional Certificate/NITEC, Diploma in Engineering (Electrical and Electronics)

Reports to the Property or M&E Executive/ Manager with specific responsibilities for the smooth operation and efficient maintenance of all M&E system, equipment and facilities of the Property.

Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate and assist the Property Executive/ Manager in daily operation of the M&E Services.
• Carry out periodic inspection, preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedules and upkeeping of all equipment.
• Perform weekly checks on the building's fire-protection system - main panel and sub-panels, including troubleshooting on failure of fire-protection system.

• Respond and attend to all emergency calls, after office hours and for reinforcement of manpower during major breakdown of equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting on any failure to the building's electrical/ mechanical system.
• Other duties in the building that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• N/ O Levels with at least 1 year's experience as building technician.
• Nitec / Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services / Facility Management or other relevant field.
• Familiar with maintenance of building system, equipment and facilities.
• Ability to work as a team player as well as work independently.
• Open to work on rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
