The Senior Wastewater Network Technician will provide support for the Wastewater Network Engineer, delivering effective management of all Wastewater sewer networks and assets across our contracts within military garrisons on Salisbury Plain and Aldershot areas. The successful applicant will be required to have a hands-on attitude and deal directly with stakeholders and contractors, where a high level of customer contact will be required.

What you'll be doing;

• Working on-site with contractors and clients to investigate and facilitate remedial action for day-to-day issues such as sewer blockages, damaged assets, often within tight contractual deadlines and budget control.
  
• Plan and deliver maintenance programmes on network assets including CCTV surveys and inspections.
  
• Routine and reactive management of OWI's, silt traps and other below ground assets.
  
• Management of SSOW, permits and road closures where NRSWA will be required.
  
• Undertake technical appraisals of handover documentation, site inspections, witness all appropriate air and water tests and approve new works in relation to S104 adoption process.
  
• Adoption applications, building over sewers and new sewer connections.
  
• Assist other operational teams as required and work closely with capital investment teams as a routine aspect of this role.
  

What we're looking for;

• Strong understanding of wastewater network construction, operation and maintenance, as well as the delivery of small scale capital delivery experience under CDM 2015 regulations
  
• Suitable Degree/NVQ/Diploma plus experience
  
• Proven technical knowledge of wastewater operations, using data and analysis to support risk and investment decision making
  
• Previous experience of working within a commercial contract environment
  
• Working knowledge of 'Sewerage Sector Guidance in relation to the adoption of sewerage assets by sewerage companies in England'
  
• An in-depth knowledge / experience of GIS/ IT systems
  
• High level of computer literacy and organisational skills
  
• Full clean driving licence
  
• General awareness in the use of operating procedures and safe systems of work

As A Senior Network Technician for Cadent, you will provide support for our Integrated Security Solution system, you will be collaborating with our Energy Control Centre and Technical Security Engineers to destermine site access for all aspects of work and attendance as well as designing and driving key improvement initiatives.




Key Responsibilities



- Servicing, maintaining and asset replacing (installing) various security disciplines on the Cadent estate. This will include but not limited to, monitored Closed Circuit television, both analogue and digital, centrally managed access control systems, Intercom, Monitored Pulse Fence (MPF), acoustic fence and intruder alarm, security white and infra-red lighting, CCTV IP Network Infrastructure.
- Developing, implementing & managing safe working practices, maintenance procedures, preventative maintenance plans & engineering standards & specifications.
- Providing support throughout the UK at our remote locations. Working alongside support teams, you will provide key interface between Integrated Security Solution team, site operations and our specialist contractors.
- Supporting with associated outsourced Service Providers’ performance against agreed Service Levels.
- Supporting the ISS team as part of an on-call 24x7x365 rota.
- Providing technical assurance for the services, ensuring Change Management Process is adhered to and Changes are technically validated to protect live service.
- Supporting with technical standards for related technology /infrastructure and strategic decisions.
- Supporting the regular completion of audit activities.
- Host 3rd line specialist contactors on site visits and provide sensible monitoring of the work activity throughout the entire works and be responsible for the verification of the work against the task. Liaise with the site owner throughout the entire lifecycle of the works whether that be a Planned maintenance visit, installation, or service repair or even a scoping visit to establish a plan of action





Skills and Experience



- A minimum of 3 years in the electronic security industry with good working knowledge of CCTV and integrated Security systems.
- Experience of installation or servicing of CCTV, Access control, intruder and door, gate entry systems is required.
- Approved Electrician and/or City & Guilds 236 Pt 1 and 2 in Electrical Installation and maintenance or equivalent desirable and will be expected to be or working towards, BS2382 BS18th edition wiring regulations.
- SCO 1,2, & 5 & GAS SHEA certified, or working towards
- Full UK driving licence.
- Able to read prepared electrical plans and technical sketches as well as identify from a drawing, the location of equipment and services on site that you will be working on and install service and repair systems in accordance with information provided, and record changes to and the location of equipment on the installation drawings and update the required asset registers.
- Experience of supporting mission critical systems, with good knowledge of system technologies, CCTV, Access control systems, monitoring tools, processes, and incident handling in a 24x7x365 support environment.
- HNC/SNVQ L3 or equivalent operational experience in network engineering techniques supported by relevant training or qualifications.
- Holds EUSR Gas Safety Passport.

Technical knowledge in one of the following areas:
- IOSH or recognised training or qualifications on Health, Safety & Environment.
- Gallagher control systems.
- Operational Technology i.e. Remote Telemetry Unit [RTU].
- ITIL 4 foundation.

To identify any deficiencies, shortages or capacity issues and liaise with staff to manage, or to escalate as appropriate. Supervision of Technicians, Clean Room Supervisors, Student Technicians, Senior Assistants and other rotational staff as required. To support the delivery of training to junior and rotational staff in aspects of aseptic preparation, GMP and Quality Assurance. To monitor all aspects of GMP, prepare SOPs, and to assist in compliance with applicable standards e.g., QAAPS. To monitor, report, and raise awareness of all deviations within Yeovil Pharmacy, Technical Services. To act as a primary investigator for deviations, implementing corrective and preventative actions, and undertaking root cause analysis where necessary. To support the maintenance, development, and oversight of the Pharmaceutical Quality Systems used by Yeovil Pharmacy Technical Services, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Lead Technician, Accountable Pharmacist and Lead Technician - Technical Services. Quality Assurance Responsible for ensuring the timely collection, electronic entry, collation and review of all environmental data. To ensure the collected data is maintained and protected in line with current GMP and GDPR regulations. Responsible for ensuring that samples are sent to RQCL in an appropriate and timely manner. Action out of specification results and recording any interventions, deviations or errors in accordance with procedures. Primary appraisal and analysis of environmental monitoring data to provide graphical representation of trends and outcomes in the form of a monthly report. To share trended data and deviations with the Quality Assurance Lead Technician, Accountable Pharmacist, Lead Technician - Technical Services. Communicating relevant environmental monitoring out of specification results with the wider Technical Services team. To interpret trended data and propose/ implement changes in practice, in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Manager, Accountable Pharmacist and Lead Technician - Technical Services. To attend, participate and present in routine Pharmaceutical Quality System meetings and other relevant Yeovil Pharmacy Technical Services or Quality Assurance meetings. Together with Quality Assurance Manager and Lead Technician Technical Services, to plan and co-ordinate regular internal audit/ self-inspection programme covering all activities, staff and facility and to collate feedback as appropriate. To undertake assessment of unlicensed products for use in Technical Services in line with departmental procedures, following suitable competency training. To co-ordinate with the Southwest Regional Quality Control Laboratory (RQCL) to follow up pending environmental monitoring results and ensure that regional/national guidance is incorporated into Yeovil Pharmacy Technical Services policies. Liaison with the Quality Assurance Lead Technician and Lead Technician Technical Services to ensure key information is reported into Departmental PQS meetings. General Proactively use, maintain and develop professional knowledge in Pharmacy Technical Services and Quality Assurance to enhance patient care through safe and effective use of medicines. To maintain annual accreditation for Good Clinical Practice (GCP) To act professionally in accordance with medicines legislation, professional standards, and trust/ departmental policies and procedures. To ensure that mandatory and statutory training is maintained in accordance with Yeovil Hospital policies, and that all training undertaken is documented and stored in personal training record. Together with the Accountable Pharmacist, Lead Technician for Pharmacy Technical Services and Lead Quality Assurance Technician; support the development of the service in alignment with strategic planning from senior management. Any other duties which may be required by the Director of Pharmacy, related to the application of skills and responsibilities assigned to this post, for the benefit of the pharmaceutical service. Supervisory / Training Providing on the job training to pharmacy staff assigned to the unit, acting as a mentor for the completion of competency-based training and validations. Following training, acting as supervisor within clean rooms, assisting the senior technical team with workload organisation and workflow on a rotational basis Other Duties Specialist cleaning of equipment used for aseptic preparation processes. Assisting with the ongoing Quality Assurance and environmental monitoring programme in the Unit. Assisting with the specialist cleaning of the facility when required. Monitoring the Air Handling Unit (AHU) pressures and drug storage temperatures. Assisting in the maintenance of adequate levels of drugs and equipment, by ensuring proper stock rotation and informing senior technicians when stock levels are unusually low and performing stock checks. Maintaining records and documentation of activities, by completing worksheets, isolator and equipment records and any other documentation appropriately. Assisting with the maintenance of documentation systems in the Unit, including filing and archiving documentation. Assisting in compiling workload statistics and other management information as required. Operating the Unit equipment in accordance with departmental procedures. Attendance at such courses and meetings as required in the interests of the service and your professional development.
