Qualification and Skills:

Bachelor's / post-graduate Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution

At least 5 -7 years of practical experience in the execution of construction projects in Singapore after attaining the qualifications

Exposure to engineering design in façade industry

Familiar with structural FEM Analysis program in singapore as well as British standards.

Familiar with softwares i.e. Autocad, STAAD Pro. or STRAND

Essential Job Functions:

Conceptualization and design of aluminium structure, glass, cladding, steel structure and other façade materials

Prepare Engineering Calculation and Analysis based on the required code by using STAAD Pro and AutoCad software

Prepare and check design drawings

Ensure that the engineering submissions and revisions are delivered on time

Assist to provide technical input, support and solutions for all technical proposals and tenders

Liaise with clients, consultants and other subcontractors

Assist with structural analysis

Site inspections as and when required

Any other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager / Technical Head

Job Description:

1. Responsible and accountable for safe and efficient operation of new generation very large LNG carriers.

2. Compliance with company policies, procedures and international shipping regulatory requirements.

3. Management of vessels Certification, documentation and surveys.

4. Preparing and managing vessels operational, capex and docking budgets.

5. Inspection of vessels including sailing on board for visits.

6. Preparation for docking of very large LNG carriers, managing the entire docking process, including cost control and budget.

7. Able to troubleshoot and support ship staff with onboard technical issues remotely.

8. Communicating with the shipowners, meeting demand of owner specific reporting as well as that of 3rd parties.

9. Vetting store and spare requisitions raised by vessel to ensure optimum maintenance, vessel availability whilst ensuring budget maintenance.

10. Arrange vetting or charterer/owner inspections and retain responsibility for ensuring vessels’ acceptance.

11. Accountable for maintaining operational KPIs set by the senior management. To ascertain reason for not meeting environment KPI for management review.

12. Analyze SIRE observations and ensure correct response is uploaded in SIRE.

13. Ensure that all TMSA requirements and other company-specific special requirements & instructions for the safe operation of tankers are implemented on board and followed diligently by the office staff as well as by the vessels under management. Work closely with MO to carry out this function.

14. Structural review response to external parties.

15. Any other task assigned by the Company.

Job Requirements:

1. At least 1 year of experience as Chief Engineer on ocean-going Very Large Liquefied Petroleum and/or Natural Gas Carriers (steam turbine/motor/X-DF engine) with reliquefication plant or equivalent qualification and experience from maritime industry.

2. Have a good command over spoken and written English.

3. Able to respond to communication from owners/ship/3rd parties without delay including after office hours when required.

4. Have a very good understanding of the demands of seafarers and their working environment.

5. Capable of supervising staff at sea.

6. Candidate should have good practical knowledge of vessel operation and maintenance, both short and long term.

7. Adequate ability and attitude to work in a multi cultured organization.

8. Possesses basic computer application and communication skills.

9. Have adequate understanding of various International Maritime regulatory requirements of shipping industry and Safety Management Systems as per ISM Code.

• Assist in the detailed technical review of tender documents.

• Ensure all documents prepared and submitted, meet the requirements of the tender and are in accordance with company's procedures, processes and systems.

Staff Engineer, Optimization

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and develop optimization models for optimal operation / bidding strategy of renewable asset owners, aggregators and Microgrids
• Conceptualize, formulate, and develop optimization models for integrated energy operation of Microgrids and smart buildings
• Act as design expert to support customer development processes by working cross functionally with internal teams continuous including platform, service and solution and business developments
• Work closely with domain application development and product management teams to understand application requirements
• Actively research in energy optimization and real-time system operation and control

Qualifications & Experience:

• Advanced Engineering Degree (Masters / PhD in Operations Research, System Engineering is a plus) or equivalent
• Ability to work collaboratively with team members such as algorithm formulation, code review and solution test
• Great communication and writing skills
• Expert level of knowledge in theory and application of optimization algorithms such as linear programming (LP), mixed integer linear programming (MILP), stochastic optimization applied in energy sector (Microgrid and flexibility market are plus)
• Expert level of knowledge of Python/C++ programming (Go is a plus)
• Knowledge f developing optimization models using optimization solvers (e.g. Gurobi, CPLEX, CBC or SCIP) and mathematical modeling languages (e.g. AMPL or GAMS)
• Knowledge of unit commitment, economic dispatch, optimal bidding strategy, electricity market participation and integrated energy optimization

Good to have:

• Knowledge of IoT Cloud and Big Data architecture, web services (e.g. REST) and microservices
• Knowledge of machine learning and data analysis and exposure to statistics and probabilistic analysis.
