Key Responsibilities:

Required Education and Experience

• Proficient in Linux shell script and good knowledge of Python (or any other computer language).
• In-depth knowledge of Linux, IB and Ethernet network and storage administration.
• Prior Experience in administrating hardware emulator would be ideal.
• Hands-on troubleshooting including performance, electrical, system, network, storage, mechanical troubleshooting skills are a must.
• Good knowledge of system performance, security and open source software packages.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivated and must be able to work with different teams in different time zones.
• Some domestic and international customer visits are required.

The annual salary range for California is $108,500 to $201,500. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Job Summary:

Drives development of products and technologies and has material responsibility for the success of that product/technology. VIP PE is expected to be an expert in DisplayPort domain of Verification IP family- protocol and product-wise. PE main role is to help accelerate VIP portfolio adoption at Cadence’s top tier customers by supporting pre-sales technical activities. To ensure that, one must have strong verification expertise and understand customer design and verification flows. As a DP VIP and protocol expert, PE drives product knowledge transfer across our field engineers and customer, providing training and developing collaterals. The PE will also need to translate high-level requirements from customers into a technical spec and drive the product definition that fits the customer needs. PE is expected to work independently and collaborate with other team members ( RnD, Marketing, support) to ensure all dimensions of the product are aligned. This role requires approximately 20% travel on average.

Job responsibilities:

• Leads projects with high resource, risk and/or complexity
• Develops and leads large and multiple cross-functional and cross-organizational programs, initiatives, and activities with high resource requirements, risk and/or complexity
• Continually evaluates technology effectiveness/data interoperability of complex systems
• Manages issue resolution with vendors on tech/product quality and functionality and influences vendor roadmap and direction of products
• Communicates highly-complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view.

Experience and Technical Skills required:

• Bachelors or masters degree in electrical, Electronics & Comm Engineering
• At least 8-10 years of experience with Functional Verification and Design
• Working knowledge with any of the DisplayPort protocol is a must
• Experience with Developing Verification environments using System Verilog
• Working knowledge and experience with the UVM methodology
• Good experience on solving complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. 
• Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. 
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills

Tech skills

• Experience in Core Banking / Payments domain, exposure to New Payment Platform (NPP), Direct Entry (DE) and SWIFT

• Experience in designing solutions for business-led initiatives.

• Experience in developing solutions and migrating solutions to AWS is desirable.

• Experience with secure development and deployment processes in hybrid environments.

• Experience in securing critical systems and data.

• Demonstrated capability in delivering solutions that meet high targets in performance, availability, data integrity and security domains.

Cadence Design Systems is looking for a highly motivated software engineer to work as a member of the R&D staff on Cadence verification tool  platforms focusing on elevating its tools, Xcelium, Verisium, Palladium etc… to new orders of efficiency and scalability. We are looking for skilled and motivated candidates with background in one or more of Computer Science or Engineering, Digital Simulation and some exposure to either behavioral modeling for verification or adjacent technologies like data mining, data analytics or machine learning.

 

You will be part of a team responsible for creating the innovative technologies required for technology leadership in this space. Development responsibilities include designing, developing, troubleshooting, debugging and supporting software products towards its next phase of growth.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience:

• Bachelor or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent curriculum with a foundation in software engineering 
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to learn new concepts quickly
• Excellent programming and software engineering skills(C/C++)
