The Sr Principal Engineer – Software is an experienced engineering technical lead on embedded displays. This individual will define the display software’s development principles and become the subject matter expert. This individual will assist with the evaluation and selection of future display hardware. This individual will work with and mentor other embedded software engineers in their team.

SUMMARY
Design reliable, functional and cost effective electrical systems. Provide product definition through bills of material and appropriate documentation for new and revised electrical system designs. Ensure the smooth flow of operations within the engineering department by optimizing engineering design(s) for manufacturing process efficiency and effectiveness. We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Have a great understanding of software delivery practices and lifecycles.
Are confident analysing systems and technical solution documents to inform test engineering approach and test cases
Have extensive experience in functional, integration, and regression testing.
Can demonstrate knowledge of a variety of test design techniques.
Have Contributed to automation testing using Java / Python
Have previously used toolset chains for version control and continuous integration.
Enjoy troubleshooting application issues with tooling and log analysis.
Are comfortable working in Agile teams
Tech skills
You’ll have experience in designing, building, and maintaining automated tests that support database and API testing in an engineering environment. This includes:
The creation of test data required to exercise various components, creating scripts required to perform comprehensive integration tests, as well as service-based testing. These activities may span across multiple test levels, covering System Testing, System Integration testing, End-to-End testing, Pre-implementation/Staging Testing and Regression Testing
You’ll contribute to forming CI/CD pipelines with tools like Git, TeamCity, and Octopus
You’ll perform static test reviews of source requirements and develop test conditions / cases for relevant test levels using appropriate tools and techniques.
You’ll contribute to the logging, maintenance, triaging, re-testing, and escalation of defects within a timely manner, adhering to the defined Defect Management process and tooling. Where possible, identify improvement opportunities and efficiencies.
