5 South is a 30 bed Oncology unit located within Butterworth Hospital. This unit specializes in the care of those with oncology diagnoses and a surgical population of head and neck cancers. Running central lines, administering chemotherapy treatments, and providing oncology education to its patients. Longer stays for patients on this unit are common, giving the team at 5 South the chance to build relationships with the patient and their family. Although this is a specialized unit there is still much to learn due to the variety in patient conditions in addition to their cancer. Teamwork on this unit is known to be outstanding, members of 5 South assist each other in any way they can giving this unit a very welcoming and warm atmosphere. 5 South welcomes new graduates and experienced healthcare professionals alike and gives them the chance to continue to learn and grow their skills no matter their experience.

Our Labor and Delivery is located a Butterworth hospital. We deliver the most babies of any hospital in Michigan with an average of 8,000 births a year. The unit consists of 28 private birthing suites, 11-bed triage, 3 OR suites, and 5 recovery bays. Our staff consist of RN, Anesthesia RNs, Nurse Techs, OB Techs and Unit Secretaries.

In the Labor and Delivery Unit, it is a procedural unit similar to a surgical environment and Nurse Techs help turn over the OR rooms with the RNs, help with stocking, clean up babies, and obtain baby vitals, help position patients, transport patients to postpartum floor, help cover the Unit Secretary duties when necessary to cover a break/shift. May sometimes be floated to other floors with similar training & scope of work.

6 Meijer Heart Center (6 Heart) is a 46-bed cardiac and vascular progressive/stepdown unit at the Meijer Heart Center. The primary patient population served include patients with various cardiac and vascular diseases requiring medical, procedural, or surgical interventions. Job Summary
We're recruiting a highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic inpatient APP team. This team consists of 20 APPs who provide critical care level cardiovascular medicine primarily in the inpatient setting. Our APP teams function collaboratively with our physician colleagues in a team based care model to provide high level cardiac care.
Functions in the role of advanced practitioner to coordinate comprehensive care delivery. Writes orders/prescriptions for standard formulary medications, laboratory, radiographic studies and consultations, coordinating the scheduling of admissions, diagnostic evaluations, follow-up exams, laboratory tests, referrals to home care, social services, and other community agencies, etc., in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services.

Corewell Health West's Women's Health Department is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants or Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) to join our growing team at Corewell Health Butterworth’s OB Triage unit/Core Faculty Team. We have added hours and are now recruiting for a .9 FTE, which is considered full time for benefits. Our 11-bed triage unit provides excellent basic and emergent obstetric care to patients >20 weeks within one of the busiest obstetric units in the country. Our APP run unit allows independent assessment and treatment with a safety net of inpatient physicians nearby.
Qualified Candidate Must Have:
Responsible for managing patients and coordinating the services provided by multiple disciplines within and outside the health system. Maintains a collaborative practice agreement with specific physician(s). Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of selected protocols/procedures. 4 North is a 33-bed unit at Butterworth Hospital specializing in orthopedic, trauma and burn care. Our team works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary group of professionals including nursing, physicians, APPs, rehab therapists, and care managers to provide high quality, comprehensive care to our patients. Common diagnoses for our patient population include polytrauma, gunshot wounds, falls, motor vehicle accidents, burns, and orthopedic complications as a result of a traumatic injury. Butterworth Hospital’s second floor is home to the Surgical Services department which houses the Outpatient Center (OPC), Surgical Intake, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), and the Hansen-Balk Surgical Family Waiting Lounge (SFWL). We strive to create a calm and healing environment for our patients and their loved ones. Team members who are working in OPC will complete the preoperative admission process, ensuring the patient has met all safety requirements for surgery and is ready for the rest of the surgical team to greet them. Upon completion of surgery, the PACU will provide phase 1 recovery for these patients. The acuity of these patients can range from same day discharge to ICU level. Our unit is a fast-paced area where your critical thinking skills are sure to grow. Our team is comprised of registered nurses, nursing technicians, unit secretaries, and waiting room coordinators who are trained to seamlessly help transition our patients and their loved ones safely through our surgical spaces.

7 North is a 39-bed Medical Surgical GI/GU unit located in Butterworth Hospital. This unit is known for its outstanding teamwork and welcoming atmosphere! At 7 North opportunities to learn and grow never stop due to the variety in patient population, this unit is considered a medical/surgical unit but specializes in the care of urology and surgical oncology post-operative patients as well as those with gastrointestinal diagnoses. This team stands out as being experts in nasogastric tubes, urinary catheters and urologic care, and managing the care of wounds, ostomies, tubes and drains. 5 West is a smaller unit comprised of 25 beds at Butterworth Hospital supporting our Emergency Department. 5W is a fast-paced unit caring for a wide range of patient population. This brings a lot of variety to the patients you will care for and provides the ability to strengthen your critical thinking skills and be part of a dynamic team providing excellent patient care to those needing further testing and observation of symptoms. Types of patients with: Chest Pain, Heart Failure, Kidney Stones, Psychiatric Diagnosis, GI, Orthopedic, and Neuro for both Acute and Chronic Illness Patients. Telemetry, IVs, NG/G-tubes, Chest Tubes, Dressing/Wound Care, CT & MRI Patients. 5W Physicians and Advance Practice Providers remain on the unit so there is 24-hour accessibility which improves relationships, care team collaboration, and efficiency of patient care.

4 South is a 44 bed Progressive Neurosurgical unit located in Butterworth. In this role you will be instrumental in the care of general neurology and neurosurgical patients. Our neurosurgical patients are highly complex. We care for spine surgery patients, patients who have undergone craniotomy and craniectomy for brain tumor resection, removal or debulking and elective aneurysm interventions. Our general neurology patients include those who have experienced acute, stroke, seizure, chronic headaches and general neurological disorders including Guillen-Barre Syndrome, multiple sclerosis, and myasthenia gravis exacerbations.
