The opportunity
As the Director of Wellbeing, you will play a pivotal role in promoting the overall well-being and pastoral care of our students. Working closely with the executive committee and leadership team, you will lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive well-being program while fostering collaboration and compassion within our community.
This truly is a unique leadership opportunity where you'll have the scope to make your mark and develop the role from the ground up! Your key responsibilities to begin with will be:
Develop and implement a holistic well-being program addressing social, emotional, and mental health needs.
Lead and manage the Student Wellbeing Leadership Team, promoting a collaborative approach to student care.
Collaborate with stakeholders to provide resources and support for students facing challenges.
Design and deliver professional development sessions for staff on wellbeing-related topics.
Mentor and coach teachers in implementing effective well-being strategies.
Contribute to strategic decision-making and policy development as a key member of the executive committee.
Your background
To succeed in the role of Director of Wellbeing at Highview College your experience in leading wellbeing programs in an educational setting will be what sets you apart from your peers. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be heavily relied upon as you build meaningful connections with students, staff, and parents alike. Moreover, your ability to mentor and inspire a team is crucial for fostering a collaborative approach to student care.
