The Technical Procurement Manager is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:-

1. Identify and monitor KPI of the Technical Procurement team to increase productivity, procurement strategies and results

9. Manage expiring items effectively to minimize costs and waste
10. Replenish stock at competitive prices to optimize cost efficiency
11. Familiar with SCINT and Microsoft D365

You will support the Chief Financial Officer and the broader federal government agency through the central delivery of complex procurement services and advice. 1. Liaise with NPI Procurement, Design Engineers, Commodity Managers and other relevant stakeholders to ensure and drive a robust sourcing strategy at the NPI phase; Ensure continuity of supply and best in class components in BOMs for all WDC flash products
2. Provide technology expertise to commodity managers to develop the supply base strategy
3. Drive supply base strategy, by BOM screen, at product design stage; propose alternate sources or replacements and drive the technical qualification process
4. Provide expert technical support for the supplier/technology selection process
5. Ensure qualified suppliers or components are meeting WDC technical requirements, quality requirements, and green policy requirements
6. Review suppliers’ technology roadmaps, ensure suppliers are meeting WDC technical requirements
7. Work with PDT teams to support NPI program milestones

Marine Technical Purchasing Officer / Purchaser / Procurement Executive

Working days: Mon-Fri 9am to 6.30pm
Salary: $2800 - $4000
Location: Kim Seng Promenade (Nearest MRT: Great World)

Job Duties:

• Procurement, sourcing and purchase of vessels’ spare parts, supplies and services including preparation of relevant purchase orders and job orders to ensure proper supply for vessels.
• Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates in order for Superintendents to review and determine the best offer among potential suppliers.
• Verify suppliers’ invoices against quotations and keeping track of vessels’ total expenditure against approved budgets. Verifies item received with items ordered; liaise and resolve with suppliers for mismatch item
• Monitor vessels’ movements, liaising with suppliers, masters and agents to ensure that supplies are delivered on board timely.
• Responsible for accurate record keeping, follow-up and filing of all stores and spares purchased for vessels.
• Actively follow up on vessels’ defect reports, arrangement of third party service vendors and docking issues etc.
• Coordinate closely with Technical Superintendent and shipboard officers.
• Co-ordinate with vessels on various technical matters as instructed by the Superintendents.
• Maintain and update vessels’ technical certificates and arrangement of renewals whenever required.
• Any ad-hoc duties as assigned by Technical Superintendents and or Technical Manager.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma holders with 2-3 years of purchasing experience preferably in Shipping industry
• Familiar with vessel records and certificates is added advantage
