This post is a permanent position based at Glenfield Hospital.

Due to the expansion of the respiratory wards we have gained funding for an additional Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will join an exciting rotation between the acute respiratory wards and the cardiorespiratory admissions ward.

Glenfield Hospital is a tertiary specialist center for respiratory care with one of the country's only dedicated cardiorespiratory admissions unit. There is also Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular surgery, a Renal unit and adult congenital Cardiac Surgery. There is a large Critical Care unit including ECMO beds, and a regional specialist adult Cystic Fibrosis and Bronchiectasis unit. We also have a thriving respiratory outpatient team.



You will be working alongside an established team of Physiotherapists to develop your clinical, leadership, teaching and service development skills whilst working within a supportive and motivated department.

You will demonstrate effective communication, prioritisation and organisational skills within a large multidisciplinary team, whilst being responsible for managing a complex clinical caseload from assessment to discharge or transfer of care.

You will receive regular supervision and appraisal and will actively be involved in service development, audit, research and evidence based practice.
