Ready to apply? Well be holding interviews at the events for Community Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists for roles at our locations across beautiful Devon. We can also arrange virtual interviews if attending in-person is not possible. Bespoke training and support Youll be provided with funded training packages, personal and professional development, with regular supervision. To reflect your skills and experience, youll be given an individualised induction and all colleagues join our buddy scheme to help you settle into your new role. If youre newly registered, youll also have the additional support of our Preceptorship Programme. Career progression Well support you to achieve your career progression aspirations at a pace youre comfortable with. There are great opportunities to expand your clinical experience, and people management skills, plus a fantastic range of career pathways from band 5 to band 8. For in the community roles, you must hold a current UK driving licence and have access to appropriate transport, as the post involves travelling to various locations, sometimes rural during you working day. We aim to provide high quality care to maximise independence and quality of life at home, including preventing hospital admissions and allowing for hospital discharge. This is completed within a supportive network of experienced Therapists offering a structured induction, time to shadow other Community teams, peer support groups and opportunities for career development. The focus of rehabilitation is paramount to patients which we are proud to support through; individual patient assessments, including virtual assessments and treatments facilitating the plan for the NHS digital transformation. We are also supporting the National Ageing Well Agenda within the NHS Long Term Plan and this provides you with the chance to be at the forefront of change within Devon. Your caseload involves a variety of patients to be seen, including and not exclusively: Working with patients with longer term conditions Neurological conditions Respiratory conditions Trauma, orthopaedic and musculoskeletal conditions Moving and handling including equipment prescription Patients in Short Term Rehabilitation Beds within Residential and Nursing Homes End of life care The successful candidate will be an autonomous practitioner who is confident with lone working. You will require excellent communication skills, with the ability to prioritise, problem solve and be a team player who is adaptable to change. Working patterns full & part-time A healthy work-life balance is essential and Devon is a great place to enjoy it. Registered AHP roles within the Community team have a wide variety of hours and shift patterns to suit you in full or part-time positions. Depending on the role there may be a requirement for weekend working on a rota system. The Royal Devon has a flexible working policy that we are happy to discuss to establish suitable options for you and the department. Basic salary Your basic salary range will depend on the role that you are appointed to. For Band 5, the salary ranges £28,407 to £34,581 per annum pro rata. Depending on your shift pattern and working hours, you will receive additional enhancements to your pay.
