Serve as an C5ISR Subject Matter Expert and Instructor to train Sailors in operational employment and maintenance of the High Frequency Radio Group(HFRG) AN/URC-131(V). Responsibilities include training in the classroom and in the hands on performance/scenario-based laboratory and curriculum development and updates.   

Required Education:

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, or work/military experience.

Required Experience:

Candidates must have a minimum of 7 years US Navy surface warfare combat systems/platform experience with carriers, DDGs, CGs, LCS, large deck, smaller amphibious ships or land based test sites.  Experience as an Operator Supervisor or Maintenance Technician desired.
- Electronics Technician “A” School is a prerequisite.  
• U.S. Citizenship and Active Secret Security Clearance are required.

Training and Development Coordinator Position:
In this position you will be supporting our Veterinary Technician and Assistant staff by creating an organized and supportive environment for onboarding of new associates, training, and continued professional development for team members of all levels of experience. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Support new employee training during established 8-week onboarding process
• Organize, train, and provide one-on-one, hands-on training throughout all hospital departments
• Develop in-house mentors to provide additional on-the-floor support for new employees

  during procedures; performs as a scrub technician; prepare surgical instruments and equipment for the next phase of surgery; guide, support and train less skilled staff in surgical procedures and infection control standards.
• Has extensive knowledge of a wide variety of complex surgical invasive procedures and possible complications. Is able to anticipate and prepare for the needs of the surgical team. Knowledge of complex procedures is shared with inexperience staff on the surgical team.
• Knowledge of surgical equipment, instruments and supplies setup and patient positioning and draping techniques and skill sufficient to prepare the operating room for surgery ranging from hernia to extensive genitourinary surgery.
• Obtains the skills to perform independently in managing and operating specialized surgical tables and positioning devices, as well as, instruments and equipment used in laparoscopic surgery. Guides and supports less skill staff in surgical procedures to include student surgical technicians.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures and terminology and manual dexterity to pass instruments to the surgeon.
• Knowledge of the principles of steam sterilization, gas and chemical sterilization methods to
  clean and process surgical and endoscopic instrumentation; and perform non-technical
  maintenance of equipment and prevent malfunctions and cross contamination.
• Knowledge of medical/surgical terminology and safe patient positioning.
• Ability to assemble, operate and/or utilize various surgical equipment and instruments, which
  includes but not limited to specialized OR beds, such as cystoscopy and endovascular table,
  robots, video equipment, flexible and rigid scopes, lasers, PHACO-emulsifier machine, nerve
  monitors, microscopes, and powered instruments.
• Skill in adapting analytical technical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of the Surgical Technician program effectiveness and productivity.
• Knowledge of the theory and current trends in surgical technology.
• Skill in developing new or modified training methodologies for competency evaluation/validation for new and existing operative procedures and processes.
• Knowledge and ability to assess different learning styles and deliver training information
  accordingly.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to prepare reports, charts and
  graphs and deliver oral reports and briefing to Perioperative team members, Patient Care
  Services Executive Leadership, VANTHCS managers and staff.
