The Sales Merchandiser consistently achieves sales target through excellence in selling skills, product knowledge, promotions and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrating and providing information on promoted products.
• Servicing existing accounts, arranging and tidying display at customer’s outlets
• Cover key outlets such as supermarket, retailers, food service outlets, etc
• Responsible for monthly sales target.
• Manage customers' collection and deductions.
• Distributing product samples. Brochures, flyers etc to source new sales opportunities.
• Utilize market data (rankings, sales trends, etc) to improve placement and retail support.

• Liaise with suppliers local and overseas samples, production schedule and capacity booking, delivery timing in an accurate and timely manner for all styles and seasons to meet launching date.
• Work within the framework set out by the Head of Brand as to the trends, colours and designs planned for the forthcoming season.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Merchandiser to join our Retail Merchandising team. The role is field based and full time, working 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

This role will be covering the Gloucestershire area, based out of our Bristol offices.

A car allowance of between £5K - £8K if offered, dependant on mileage and the option to have a fuel card.

• Working with the Regional Development teams to ensure each store is merchandised to the correct planograms for the brand and the store is set up and ready for opening.
• Creating and placing retailer’s orders to deliver stock availability during merchandising programs.
• Installing required store imagery and POS for the brand in accordance to the latest promotions.
• Working with retailers and store teams in all aspects of merchandising best practice.
• Ensuring sustainability of policies, processes and procedures ensure the site is HSL at all times.
• Contributing to category initiatives for the region.
• Managing any additional resources such as agency should the store require additional resources outside of Booker.

• A full driving licence is essential as traveling is an crucial part of this role- You will be provided a company car with this position or alternatively a car allowance.
• Excellent communication skills are important, as well as the ability to build strong internal and external customer relationships.
• Experience in a similar Merchandising role would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of the following would be advantageous: Epos, Green Tickets, Buying and Delivering Schedules.
• Experience within Project Management would be highly desirable.

· Stock taking in the stores like Guardians, Watsons, Welcia, etc.

· Take orders from clients like Guardians, Watsons, Welcia.

· When the stock level of a certain product is low, replenish the order by making a purchase order and fax it back to the operations supervisor in office for the packers to pack it so that the stock can be replenished.

· Come back to office to collect the stock to the stores.

· Liaise closely with the store managers.

· To clean and service the various counters.

About the role
As our Merchandiser you will work closely with our buyer, deciding on product ranges for our online and in-stores. You will manage the inflow of our kit partner, along with other supplier products to optimise the sales across all products with a focus on kit partner product.
