Our client is an international Freight forwarding and logistics company with their 3PL warehousing facilities located at North Port in Port Klang area.
About the job
This role (job) is mainly warehouse base and therefore not in a conventional office environment. This is a full-time permanent position and the role is to provide support the operation activities of the 3PL warehouse.
The work place is will be at the warehouse,working under the sypervision of Sypervisor. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate receipt of goods/cargoes into and out the internal system and ensuring orders are processed according to customers specifications. In this role, you will ensure that shipments are assigned timely and accurately. The role will involve arranging export shipments from collection through to shipment,arrange import deliveries and raise billing/invoice for payments.
The general duties will involve the following role:
*Perform cargo loading and unloading.
*To perform physical counts,tally and surface inspection of cargo upon receiving/delivery.
*To store cargoes in proper location assigned within the warehouse.
*To perform cargo issuance.
*Picking,packing and despatch of cargo according to ownership and destinations.
Job Requirements
Candidates who wish to be considered for this role should possess the following attributes:
*Malaysian Male or Female age 25-35.
*Qualification: Minimum SPM or Diploma.
*2-3 years of work experience in 3PL warehouse facilities.
*Knowledge of both warehouse and logistics practices is necessary.
*Be able to demonstrate excellent literacy/numerary skills.
*Have accurate typing/data entry skills.
*Computer literate with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office(Word, Excel)
*Good communication skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
*Have access to a reliable means of transport to North Port area.
*Must be willing to be based at Warehouse office (bonded) area.

The role will include handling export shipments for all LCL clientele, from freight bookings, allocations to final delivery and cargo receival to clients overseas.

The candidate
The ideal candidates would have a proven track record of some 2-3 years of freight operations experience in handling exports sector, including recent experience with an export operations role within forwarding or with a co-loader. In this connection, candidate with strong understanding of international shipping and also domestic transport will be highly advantageous to fill this role.
The successful candidates for this role will require excellent communication skills and the ability to negotiate and accurate comprehend information is imperative as you will liaise with a variety of stakeholders to collectively produce the desired outcome for the business clients.

The sales role

Part of your role will entail conducting presentation and product demonstration to prospective customers.
The position carries the responsibility to develop sales through face to face selling to building a strong relationships with key authoritative representative within medical healthcare institutions and hospitals. Strong hospital sales and patient focused you are required to meet agreed sales targets along with developing territory and account strategies including high quality prospects.
As the Sales Representative of the organization, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Sales Manager to manage and develop sales within the account portfolio.
The key duties will include:
-Develop and manage relationships with existing accounts in order to maximize all sales and revenue opportunities.
-Deliver and create new business opportunities.
-Respond to customer queries,prepare costs and price quotations.
-Prepare for and attend customer meetings.
Candidate requirements
It is ideally essential that successful candidate will come from life science/science background (or Marketing/Business) with 1-2 years of sales experience. He must be willing to travel as part of your role. Candidate for this role must possess a strong communication and presentation skills. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite.
Personal profile:
-Applicants should hold a formal qualification in life sciences or at best Business Studies or Marketing disciplines.
-The successful candidate should have a track record in sales role in any market (but not necessary in specialty hospital sales or medical/clinical environment).
-You will excel at building customer relationships and understanding their needs.
-Strong drive for results and sales orientation including experience in a demanding sales role.
-Personal attributes will invariably include excellent communication skills with ability to speak fluent English.
-A current drivers license with own vehicle.
