About the Opportunity

You will lead the development of our B2B marketing and events plans to support our Business Development work across our organic schemes (Food, Farming, Beauty and Textiles). This work will ensure that our clients see and engage with the added value offered as part of their organic certification and will build the reputation of Soil Association Certification and drive consideration of organic amongst a business audience. This strategically important and impactful maternity cover role sits within Soil Association Certification, a certifier of organic and sustainable schemes that provides businesses with an opportunity to harness solutions that work with nature, for people and planet. We help businesses build trust with consumers, growing confidence in sustainable purchasing and driving impact by restoring climate, nature and health.

About You

You will have a creative and entrepreneurial approach to work, where you will be accountable for the delivery of our online and in-person B2B events programme, line managing the Events team, and leading on content curation, branding and comms.

You will demonstrate excellent leadership and motivation skills, line managing the Project Manager of our Best of Organic Market Awards campaign/event and lead on the comms strategy to drive business entries and create a buzz around the event, winners and organic

You will demonstrate excellent communications skills, working closely with our Press and Digital Marketing teams to ensure communication of key messages and share of voice for organic and Soil Association Certification across trade and mainstream media and owned digital channels.

You will be an outstanding networker, able to build relationships and maintain high credibility with internal and business contacts, working with the Business Development Managers to develop and deliver acquisition and retention campaigns across our organic schemes

The Role

Lyka is growing and we're looking for a hands-on marketer to join our pack! You could be working client-side or at an agency and will have experience in several marketing disciplines such as brand, events, PR and strategic partnerships.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on and lead a diverse range of projects including events, product GTM coordination and partnerships. The role works closely with Lyka’s in-house creative team as well as cross-functional teams such as R&D, Product and Partnerships. What will you do?

• Drive the implementation of the brand strategy, including liaising with internal teams and external agencies or stakeholders.
• Identify and seek out unique PR opportunities, which may include writing press releases and gathering information from various areas of the business. This includes, but is not limited to, applying for relevant product, business and people awards.
• Drive strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders.
• Take ownership of discrete brand-related projects with support from our Senior Brand Marketing Manager and Head of Marketing.

This incumbent is responsible for designing and delivering the product/event experience for our customers in support of the Events Director. Through a strong understanding of market trends and customer needs he/she will develop the long-term Events design, through both responding to existing customer feedback and identifying new and innovative opportunities to improve the Events. He/she will lead the marketing and communications function for the shows. He / she will support the management of the P&L of an Event, managing marketing budgets, optimizing campaign performance, and enhancing/discovering new strategies to effectively reach the target customer segments. Working alongside Sales, Marketing and Operations, he/she will ensure all elements are aligned to create a successful Events. He/she will oversee the Events floorplan, managing the positioning and strategic decisions as the point of contact for all involved parties.

Summary

The Executive Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and special project assistance to the CEO to support all aspects of her daily work routine. The Executive Administrative Assistant will also work alongside the Chief of Staff in supporting the Board of Directors on behalf of the CEO.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling appointments, booking travel, managing correspondence and calendars, and other day-to-day duties as assigned. 
• Reviewing upcoming meetings to ensure the CEO has all of the information needed to be as productive as possible and sending out agendas or documents to meeting attendees as necessary.
• Responding to inquiries and answering a variety of questions with tact and diplomacy, taking messages, and directing communications appropriately for resolution.
• Preparing, reconciling, and submitting expense reports and receipts.
• Maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
• Leading and implementing special projects as assigned by the CEO
• Designing systems to achieve greater remote work efficiencies
• Planning (logistics) and coordinating board-related meetings and events and other duties as assigned related to the Board of Directors. 
• Taking minutes at board and committee meetings in the designated format.
• Acting as a project manager to implement the business plan and overall program of work.
• Supporting logistics for events, as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 5 – 7 years of experience in a high-level administrative assistant position.

The Marketing Manager will lead the development, implementation and improvement of brand level marketing plans, materials, and activities to support the company’s strategic objectives, driving brand awareness and overall business growth. Responsibilities:

• Guide and lead the creation of a portfolio of outstanding sales materials and assets to support James Martin’s positioning goals and sales objectives, including catalogs, lookbooks, and other literature and promotional collateral.
• Develop and manage multiple campaigns, leading and completing all copy for the JMV brand as well as in partnership with our key accounts, including new product launches, delivering engaging content while maintaining critical timelines.
• Ensure a consistent message is delivered across all channels for each campaign and customer segment.
• Lead the redesign and reformatting of the James Martin branded website to support the company’s positioning objectives and to improve user experience and increase engagement.
• Work closely with channel and sales managers to gather data, identifying trends and needs within each business channel, setting the groundwork for effective campaign strategies.
• Perform data analysis to update senior leadership and Channel Managers on the progress of marketing activities, reporting on the results of campaigns and instigating changes for improvement.
• Initiate and implement a series of processes, operational initiatives, agendas, and timelines to support all marketing initiatives and requirements.
• Prepare and supervise the marketing budget, reporting on a quarterly and annual basis.
• Support the National Sales Manager and Sr Design Manager in promoting James Martin at KBIS and other national tradeshows and events.
• Create and maintain a library of all marketing materials and collateral, tracking inventory and determining cycle and timing of releases.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of related experience preferred.
• Strong Creative Vision with an understanding of business objectives.
• Demonstrated, in-depth knowledge of current marketing theory and an innovative awareness to stay ahead in an omni-channel B2B business.
• Experience leading a broad range of marketing activities from briefing to execution.
