PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Planner is responsible for planning, inventory management, just in time planning, material requirements planning, and production activity control. Identifies any stopper in meeting the delivery schedule and customer commitment. Defines and coordinates manufacturing planning strategy with production and stakeholder by establishing overall and weekly production schedule with value stream. Establishes and maintains time fences for job order items. Performs rough cut capacity planning. Coordinates planning strategy with Master Planner and Production Controller.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Review and provide report for firmed and planned sales order and align schedule per production capacity and product type.

2. Create and update the production schedule for long and short term horizon.

3. Conduct weekly planning meeting with value stream and Master Planner.

4. Review and renew planning data and parameters in VM systems (including: BOM, Material Master data, routing, and work centre) and ensure that standard work processes are strictly adhered to.

5. Review overall loading plan with master planner and release new work order as per schedule line.

6. Ensure to review material status, BOM, router, pick list , consumables needed prior releasing any job order to production controller

7. Responsible in updating work instructions, planning procedures and ensure team compliance in specs procedure.

8. Ensure that production in the firm period meets agreed customer demands.

9. In alignment with Production schedule, oversee customer sales order execution. Ensure clarity of necessary information from sales/ customer before execute in planning. Escalate any issues to Supply Chain manager and Sales Team for any dispute items.

10. To identify and implement cost savings alternatives and process improvements for existing operations.

11. Manage production controller and ensure planning KPI’s are well executed and monitored.

12. Responsible to review any ECN & customer PO changes

13. In charge of Review and weekly update of SDQC with the management.

14. Monitor MRP and that materials are ordered timely and monitored effectively to meet production requested arrival date.

15. Ensures 5S is implemented in the work area.

16. Adheres company’s guidelines with regards to Safety and Quality.

17. Complies to Company Code of Business Conduct.

18. Promote and participate in company-wide or departmental programs such as:

QUALIFICATION GUIDE

1. Education : Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain/Engineering or any related course.

2. Communication : Fluent both in Oral and written English communication

3. Experience : Minimum 3 years work experience in planning, manufacturing

4. Hardware/Software : ERP Software, MS Office particularly Excel (pivot, vlookup)

· Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning and Project Group i.e. main contractors, sub-contractors/ vendors to review the scope of work in terms of deliverable to be submitted to the client.

· Build project planning capability for overall planning function. i.e WBS, Charts are incorporated all project deliverables and reflects information that clarifies the project deliverables which are needed to accomplish the work identified in the WBS.

· Perform schedule monitoring and updating of project schedule, preparing of periodic progress reports with look ahead and forecast.

· Apply proactive approach to identify schedule deviations and propose/ recommend corrective action/ work around solutions to ensure meeting project major milestones.

· Collect and Evaluate data of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning required to monitor project schedules, progress measurement and valid overall progress status for line managers review at all time.

· Analyze major/ minor parties i.e. main/ sub-contractor progress report data, identify and highlight schedule deviation and delay.

· Strong and effective inter-personal and communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients, contractors and discipline engineers.

· Maintain records for all significant issues relevant to scope deviations and changed management.

· Degree/ Diploma in Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years’ experience in project management/ project control.

· Familiar with Primavera and Microsoft Project applications, developing progress curve, bar-charts and manpower histogram.

· Experience in implementing project planning systems for pre/ post project lifetime.

· Able to work under tight deadline and demanding work pressure. Highly motivated and independent with excellent team spirt and interpersonal skill.

· Visit yard, workshop to update overall progress periodically.

Summary

The Resource Planner is responsible for short-term planning, development and review of resource plans and rosters ensuring optimal allocation of the key operational resources including manpower, equipment and facilities. This role will cover short-term planning of at least 48 hours to 1 month ahead and also on the day of operation if required.

The Resource Planner will be planning for rosters across all ground handling functions regularly, and as required by the business. The Resource Planner works on fixed hours over 5 days’ week across weekdays and weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Accountable for ensuring that the allocation of resources is undertaken independently, withoutprejudice, and in-line with the planned business needs, the dynamic real-time operational demands,and the unscheduled customer requirements; whilst achieving the targeted levels of the currentService Level Agreements
• Manage the issued rosters and ensure optimal staff coverage
• Actively work with the Operational shift in-charge by providing expert advice, input, and direction in order to respond to dynamic changes during the shift; for example, in cases of staff sickness or absence actively review allocation plans and make recommendations as to whether replacement or over-time is required. Undertake actions as agreed to update the administrative section regarding staff non-attendance
• Identifying potential risks to staffing and equipment availability and developing strategies to mitigate these risks. This includes planning for emergencies, labour shortages, equipment failures, and other unforeseen challenges.
• Provide the Resource Planning Manager with strategic analysis on “what-if” scenarios by finding efficiency-increasing ways to roster staff and preview and review the allocation of resources and interfere where necessary
• Strict adherence to the policies prevalent to resource planning, such as return to work policies and conforming to the Employment act guidelines
• Effectively communicate the resource allocation plan to the resources either directly or via the operational shift in charge and continually monitor the progress of the assigned tasks to the resources.
• Maintain regular coordination and communication with resource planning team and IT to ensure that the decision support systems deliver functional results and are configured in line with the operational needs. Keep up-to-date with all existing and new system functionalities for the systems relevant to the allocation function.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the allocation plan and continually feedback recommendations regarding roster solutions and resource engagement standards to the relevant resource planning team. Continuously keep up-to-date on the service and resource levels agreed by the departments through coordination with the relevant standards and procedures staff, line managers and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, security, and health policies and procedures

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma from a recognized tertiary institution
• Min. 7 years of experience in Planning, Rostering or Optimisation roles
• Strong analytical ability, diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with ability to anticipate future needs to make strategic decisions on optimising resource utilisation
• Excellent time management, prioritization, with creative and lateral thinking
• Must possess advanced computer skills with an awareness of specialist applications, packages, programme languages, and high proficiency of MS-Office
• Excellent communication in English, both written and spoken
• System user training required on Inform suite. Knowledge of the Inform suite is highly advantageous.
• Prior experience or knowledge of the aviation industry will be advantageous. Understanding the dynamics of aircraft scheduling, crew allocation, and airport operations (especially RBS and Cargo) can be beneficial.
