About the job

You will be a strong contributor to the Rewards function by being a subject matter expert and oversees the areas of compensation, benefits, mobility, and recognition across Ikano Retail. This role will be reporting to the Head of Reward, Ikano Retail.

Your assignment

• Contribute to the development of overall rewards strategies.
• Develop, review, socialise and implement all rewards related policies, guidelines, and programmes.
• Ensure all reward related practices balance affordability and competitiveness, are aligned with business objectives and rewards philosophies, internally equitable, and in compliance with local legislations and regulations.
• Understand current and emerging market trends, identify potential opportunities / gaps, and leverage external best practices, yet provide flexibility and local customization to account for cultural and market differences.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the reward initiatives and its related communications efforts by analysing data and feedback and develop continuous improvement actions.
• Develop communication materials on new / improved initiatives, with the support from Corporate Communications.
• Manage the regular reward management activities and processes.
• Support in the preparation of reporting materials to the People and Remuneration Committee.
• Participates in vendor selection and management ensuring compliance with service level agreements and efficient administration and delivery of reward programs.
• Partner with HR business partners / HR Managers and different stakeholders to address any reward related matters.

The day-to-day activities:

• Support strategy development and implementation for Grab’s Public Affairs country teams:
  • Work with Grab’s country public affairs teams to analyse and provide insights on public policy issues, develop positions and advocacy recommendations to advance Grab’s agenda
  • Develop and execute strategic action plans and initiatives related to Grab’s public affairs objectives
  • Orchestrate efforts across different Grab teams to develop and implement a coordinated and robust approach in business operations, to address public policy topics
• Support Grab’s thought leadership efforts on public affairs:
  • Support research on public policy issues that are at the intersection of technology and society
  • Work with other teams at Grab to execute campaigns that drive thought leadership and dialogues on key topics, e.g. through planning of dialogues, forums, roundtable discussions, policy programmes etc.
  • Develop effective thought-leadership platforms, and maintain a pipeline of digital content (e.g. policy position papers, publications, blog posts, podcasts, op-eds etc.) to catalyse conversations and foster meaningful engagements
• Advance strategic engagements and institutional relations for Grab:
  • Establish key partnerships with appropriate external stakeholders across government, international organisations, academia, non-profit and private sectors

• Conducting lean action workout sessions with process stakeholders, facilitate brainstorming sessions to identify gaps and chart out improvement action plan.
• Conduct process bench-marking exercise
• Collect data on various metrics to create performance baselines and implement it across organization, monitor the usage of performance baselines and identify action plans to improve baselines.
• Mapping functional solution to technical solution
• Create to-be process maps and functional design.
• Identify the best process to be mapped with the system to improve productivity of the team.
• Process data analysis using six sigma methodologies
• Execute large scale projects to improve project delivery throughput by improving process capability and reducing cycle time.
• Work directly with internal process owners and Team Leads and project teams to drive process improvement projects within their areas of responsibilities.
• Develop guidelines for process improvement initiatives
• Identify the parameters to track process improvements and create monitoring criteria. The parameters can include input and output criteria, training, testing, methodologies, reviews, etc.
