Your new role
As the Technical Officer you will:

Take the lead for AV Teams Meeting Rooms and resolve operational requirements or issues.
Manage vendor management and project management around AV as part of a team.
Proficiency with Apple, Windows, and Microsoft Office environments.
Manage the installation, replacement or relocation of AV equipment, computers, printers, and peripherals across all departments. Including client and vendor liaison.
Assist in the management of staff to assist in large rollouts.
Assist in the development and distribution of software to the desktop using packaging tools.

• Be part of Technical team responsible for maintaining and ensuring the serviceability of all systems and equipment at Inflight Catering Centre (ICC) 1 & 2

Job Description

The job involves the supervision of MRT projects Cross Island Line.

For those with less than the specified 3 years of relevant experience, training will be provided.

Job Requriements

RTO shall have diploma in the civil/structural discipline or National Certificate in Construction Supervision (NCCS) or equivalent and accredited by and registered with IES/ACES with minimum 3 years relevant experience in supervision deep excavation/ basement works.

- MRT experience will be an advantage.

- To assist RE & SRE to monitor all site activities

- Willing to work on night & rotation shifts

Scope of Services:

(i) The RTO shall be registered and maintain registration with IES and shall be responsible for the consistency of quality assurance inspections and reporting in a well-coordinated manner to ensure the contractor’s proper execution of works under the Addition and Alteration (A&A) contract; and

(ii) Inspect and supervise contractors’ works and tests (if any) in accordance with specifications/technical requirements as set out in the A&A contract to ensure compliance with the contract requirements and/or authorities’ requirements; and

(iii) To review all drawings and specifications, and highlight any discrepancies, non-workable and/or missing details to authority and the Qualified Person (Design) [QP(D)] in a timely manner; and

(iv) Check and ensure all materials, construction and/or installations are in accordance with approved documents such as drawings, samples, and method statements; and

(v) Conduct quality inspections and quality control of materials used for the project and ensure proper documentation of site inspection records, safety records and approved / as-built drawings; and

(vi) Keep quality and contemporaneous records of all works (including photographs, quantity of works, works arising from variation orders etc.) for monitoring, submitting those reports and reporting such as for work progress fortnightly and monthly basis including daily works diary and incident reports; and

(vii) Report to project Qualified Person (QP) / Project Consultants Team on quality and progress; and

(viii) To issue RTO Site Memos, on any deviations or non-compliant works observed to be carried out by the A&A contractor; and

(ix) Submit all required documents and reports via email or other electronic means by the stipulated time frame; and

(x) Oversee and monitor safety and health including taking photos of unsafe acts and conditions and bringing them to the authority's attention; and

(xi) Co-ordination of the services to be provided by the other specialists engaged by the Project Contractors, and such other consultants as may be appointed by the Client from time to time; and

(xii) To attend to and handle all related feedback (including occupants’ feedback) onsite and keep a logbook of date and time of feedback and follow-up actions for closure of feedback; and

(xiii) Attend all meetings as required.

The Services shall be performed at the Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC). The RTO shall ensure that he/she is present at SYFC for all the relevant checks, inspections and meetings, as required.

Requirements:

• Registered Resident Technical Officer with IES-ACES
• Minimum 5 to 8 years of Resident Technical Officer experience in supervision of industrial / logistics development with strong knowledge of driven/bored piling, RC structures, structural steel, and local construction practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient in reading construction drawing and specifications
• Possess effective communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels.

Role Overview
