To join a creative design consultancy with an international portfolio that specialises in architecture and interiors focused on high end bungalows, hotels, commercial developments,  renowned restaurants and bars and popular global brands.  Operating for over 20 years from our KL headquarters and with a satellite office in Australia, we are looking for  an Architectural Draftsman who is skilled in AutoCAD to join our highly skilled team of Architects and Designers.  The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of project types, including 5 star hotels, residential, commercial and interiors.  They will need to be confident in completing tender construction drawings and working closely with our architects and other members of the design team.

 

Job Responsibilities:

1. Creating technical drawings from architects' sketches and specifications for tender and submissions.
2. Using AutoCAD to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details.
3. Visiting construction sites to perform measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.
4.  Collaborating with architects and consultants to ensure adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
5. Manage project schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
6. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers.
7. Work with other team members to complete tasks and meet deadlines.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or certification program in a related field or 10+years of experience in architectural drafting.
2. Capacity to produce accurate plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Provide assistance to Teachers in the delivery of curriculum.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Classroom

• Preparing and organising materials and resources for lessons in the two art rooms (as directed by the art teachers)
• Completing, sourcing, printing, laminating and filing requests for the Art Department.
• Keeping the art room stocked with materials ordering new stock as required.
• Ensuring that the art rooms are kept neat and tidy ensuring that teachers are kept informed on resource location.
• Maintaining classroom furniture and ordering as necessary in consultation with head of department
• Sourcing materials as and when required.
• Helping students with assembling, hanging, cutting etc materials for their work.
• Photographing student artwork.
• Assisting with organising, curating and hanging exhibitions.
• Assisting with preparation of materials for examinations and assessments.
• Monitoring and administering accounts/budgets for the art department and liaising with the finance department to help administer payments to vendors and suppliers.

ICT

• Providing technical assistance to students with software within the Art Department (such as Adobe Creative Suite)
• Documenting school events and experiences as required by the Art department.

Posters/Notice Boards/Calendars

• Assisting in creating and printing posters as needed around school especially before big school events like Open House, Founders Day, Student Events
• Printing of wall calendars for the departments yearly.
• Ensure that Notice boards are maintained by the different groups and following up for updated artwork/writeup/pictures where needed.

General

• Liaising with other staff and suppliers.
• Accompanying staff and students on trips and excursions out of school.
• Assisting in creating art displays around the school and in the classrooms.
• Be a positive role model for students, maintaining and sustaining the Art Department vision and expectations.

Normal working hours are 7.45 am to 4.45 pm from Monday to Friday.
