As part of providing value added recruitment services, we are currently entrusted by our client to seek suitable qualified Accountant to assume the role of Management Accountant with our client,an MNC who is engaged in the electronics manufacturing services spanning across three countries namely Malaysia, China and the Phillipines. 
Key Responsibilities
This is a permanent position reporting to Group CFO.The role will be varied and include responsibilities spanning across Financial Accounting and Analysis.
*Responsible to perform thorough financial analysis for the day-to-day operation activities,identify variances, anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
*To review and monitor  budget, cashflows, P&O and balance sheet.
*Perform checking and verify on documents submitted by Business unit for corporate office approval.
*To review and verify Business unit financial report,finance operating processes,internal control procedures and risk management.
*Coordinate and liaise with internal cross-functional teams include overseas business units/subsidiary companies.
*Preparation of monthly management accounts and analysis.
*Monthly analysis of key costs within the business.
*Production of monthly variance analysis with commentaries.
Candidate profile
This role is ideally suited to someone with a strong background in accounting. You will be a hands on, proactive and genuinely down to earth individual who is prepared to roll up sleeves and work with maturity and professionalism. 
Ideally we are seeking candidates who are working within the electronics manufacturing industry.
*Malaysian male or female.
*Possess a Bachelor degree in Accountancy or professional qualification(ACCA/CIMA).
*An experienced management Accountant with 5-8 years preferably in manufacturing/production business/industry.
*Strong Excel skills and general IT application skills.
*Possess strong communication skills especially in English.

As our Project Accountant you will support the project delivery teams at NEXTDC covering task relating to all financial aspects of project administration.

You will undertake and coordinate activities in relation to all phases of project delivery and data centre development, including monitoring of project progress, reporting on project expenditure, variance analysis, budgeting and forecasting, and project cost control.

What you’ll do:

• Responsible for financial administration of projects including reconciling and reporting actuals, forecast, and variances against budgets;
• Performing monthly reconciliation of project work in progress (WIP), and financial close processes upon completion of project;
• Assisting project delivery teams with the preparation of monthly project cash flows;
• Monthly project budget reviews with project managers and provide the expenditure reforecasts as an input to month-end reporting processes 
• Assisting with audit queries and request for information as required;

GENERAL SUMMARY
The APAC Financial Analyst is a member of the APAC regional finance team to support the regional FP&A process and achievement of AOP/Free Cash Flow targets. This position is accountable for the ongoing development and implementation of the FP&A process for APAC region and Malaysia accounting activities.   
Principle duties and responsibilities (essential functions):
Financial & Accounting

• Support the preparation and consolidation of APAC financial cycles such as Annual Operating Plans, Forecasts, and critical guiding measurables that will enable Rail APAC business to achieve its business objectives; monitoring financial and business performance throughout the year. 
• Works closely with the Senior Finance Director and Country Finance Managers to complete plans and forecasts.  Closely monitors the execution of operational plans against the APAC Annual Plan – and any other relevant business goals and objectives – with a particular focus on P&L Achievements and Working Capital/Cash Flows Optimization.
• Regularly reports business progress vs. financial metrics and updates the regional management team on key initiatives specific to Australia, South East Asia, and East Asia.  
• Provides forward-looking planning and analysis/reporting to aid in improved forecasting and enhanced management decision-making.
• Managing Malaysia's accounting activities to ensure a wide range of accounting policies and practices are being adhered to and deployed to effectively and efficiently manage company assets and operations.
• Preparing presentation deck for APAC monthly business review.

People

• Shares responsibility for creating an environment that values, encourages, and enables the development and maintenance of an effective, well-motivated regional and local finance team. 

Legal Compliance

• Share responsibility with other finance team members to ensure all company activities/operations are performed by government, agency, or professional regulations, and with those of Harsco.
• Governance/Statutory Compliance for Malaysia – Works closely with internal/external auditors and tax firms to ensure compliance with US/local GAAP & legislation and tax regulations.

Ad-hoc Projects

• Additional ad-hoc projects, reporting, and analysis necessary for financial management as assigned by immediate supervisor.

SUBTASKS
1. Decision support

• Business advisory services relating to Australia and SEA working capital initiatives (inventory, A/R, AP), capital projects, long-term leasing, Procurement analysis and approval
• Solid analysis of all cost lines (CoS, SG&A)
• Support the Bid and Contract Management Team in evaluating new business opportunities for ANZ, SEA & EA

2. Financial Planning, Analysis and Reporting

• APAC Annual Plan, Quarterly Forecast, and Weekly Pulse view
• Financial reporting and analysis efficiency improvement
• Manage capital and operating expenses budget
• Balance sheet and cash flow management
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting under US and local GAAP.

3. Finance Operations

• Back-office consolidation and process improvement
• Malaysia accounting tasks

4. Internal controls

• US-GAAP compliance and Financial controls including SOX and internal/external audit reviews
• Governance and compliance responsibilities of Malaysia

• Accounting and reporting policies and procedures across Rail Malaysia are consistent and are documented. Also, where appropriate are integrated with Rail and Harsco Accounting policies e.g. revenue recognition.
