The WTSS/GS is to manage safe pedestrian track access and Engineering Consist (EC) or Passenger Vehicle (PV) movements at the project’s Defined Areas (DA) within the station/depot.

(a) Perform duties of a WTSS/GS, at the temporary staging area, depot or mainline environment.

(b) Enforce the rules and regulations as trained in accordance with the Works Train Manual.

(c) Ensure safe movement of EC/PV inside the Defined Areas of mainline station trackside and depot.

Research Assistant

We are recruiting a full-time Research Assistant to support the Principal Investigator, Associate Professor Natasha Howard, in the implementation and administration of research projects in the areas of health equity, infectious disease control, and global health.

Responsibilities:
The research assistant will focus on research and administration in infectious disease control policy and health system strengthening in the Asia region. This will include:
• Supporting qualitative and quantitative research, including contributing to design, implementation, analysis, and write-up of journal manuscripts and reports/policy outputs.
• Project management and administration for multiple research projects, including ethics review applications to NUS IRB and study country review boards, donor reporting, and liaison with relevant teams in NUS SPH and internationally.
• Assisting the PI in other day-to-day tasks as required.

Requirements:
• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject area.
• Excellent academic writing and communication skills in English.
• Experience of successfully managing multiple tasks concurrently.
• Strong qualitative and/or quantitative research skills and experience, including at least some experience with conducting or analysing semi-structured interviews, and capacity/interest to learn social science methodology.

The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) are part of an exciting new project funded by NHS England, Health Education England, with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people and families, and schools in the community. The role offers an exciting opportunity to continue to innovate and deliver high quality evidence-based care and whole system interventions, with great ongoing CPD opportunities. All applicants must demonstrate in their application the ability to work at degree level or have an equivalent level of relevant experience. Experience of working with children and young people and an understanding of the educational system in England is highly desirable. The training programme for this post starts in September 2024, is 12 months in duration and will consist of academic and supervised practice learning across mental health services and educational settings. During training, the post-holder will work under supervision to enable them to gain the level of competence required to deliver high-quality, evidence-based early interventions for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health problems.

Training salary 24,679 p.a. following successful completion of the Post Graduate Diploma salary will rise to 31,031 to 38,031 p.a. Trainee Education Mental Health Practitioners will be undertaking a year in supported part-time, study at GMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre, Prestwich. Whilst developing skills and building confidence in mental health practice within our team and supporting schools to enhance the approach to emotional wellbeing in the school community.
