In this core-funded role you will lead the development of pipelines and tools for the analysis of data from cutting-edge single cell and spatial genomics platforms such as the 10x Chromium and Nanostring CosMx. You will have the opportunity to work with students and postdocs from the Kennedy’s world-leading research groups both to provide bioinformatics training and to make contributions to publications in high impact journals. Researchers at the KIR are using cutting-edge approaches to investigate the immune system and the cellular causes of diseases such as atheroschlerosis, inflammatory bowel disease and arthritis (https://www.kennedy.ox.ac.uk/research/research-groups).

The postdoc will focus on conducting and developing research on proteins, especially plant proteins. The position requires decision making, problem solving, and method development skills on protein extraction, purification, characterization, binding properties, modification, and application in food systems. This appointment involves developing instrumental methods for enhancing proteins, especially plant proteins, functionalities and application in food products. Experience and willingness to learn Proteomics and/or flavoramics, chromatography, and spectroscopy methods, instruments, and software are required. The postdoctoral research associate will work with undergraduate and graduate students, as well. Candidates should be well-organized and experienced in working in research labs and have good communication and teamwork skills. The position will initially be available for 1 year with renewal based on availability of funding and satisfactory performance.

Lead the clinical delivery of HPM (Hospital Patient Monitoring) solutions, by collaborating with customers, Customer Project Managers, Clinical Solution Implementation Consultant (CSIC), Clinical Solution Workflow Consultant (CSWC), Technical Consultant and Sales to deliver effectively on the customer solution.  Impact the use, adoption, and optimization of patient monitoring solutions at numerous Philips customer sites, while leading the overall on-site or remote delivery of clinical services (education, go-live support, troubleshooting, system optimization) and on-site third-party resources.  

Your role:

• Leverage your expertise to provide clinical support to patient monitoring customers, while working closely with Philips Field Service, sales, and project management during implementation and go-live phases. Understand customer goals for their Philips solution; develop clinical plans to support solution implementation and use; and manage clinical aspects of an implementation, including workflow assessments, education plans, custom configurations, first customer use, ongoing change adoption, and optimizing complex monitoring solutions.

• Determine customer solutions/software configuration, and education needs by understanding clinical implications of networks and clinical informatics system implementations to design and deliver equipment and application teaching for patient monitoring across critical care, emergency, peri-operative, telemetry, NICU/PICU, and general care areas. Communicates project progress, issues, and system improvements to internal and on-site delivery resources, facilitates client deployment and onsite resource coordination, and assists customers by creating CSIC or CSWC-led learning and clinical objectives.

• Provide an exceptional client experience through in-person or digital learning environments for clinical, technical, operational, or strategic services, solutions, education, or training. Conduct QMS-compliant planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of learning services, education, and training courses. Provides a secure and supportive learning environment for students to express ideas, apply knowledge, provide feedback, and evaluate progress.

Woodside Hall Nursing Home is a 41 bed purpose built home in a beautiful setting on the Isle of Wight. The Home has a CQC rating of "Good" with "outstanding" for "Care".

This role is a clinical role with leadership responsibilities. You will take charge of the Home on shift and also provide on-call cover as part of a rota. You will be responsible for all aspects of the Home's provision of Nursing care, with the support of the Registered Manager. The successful candidate will be confident in their own clinical skills and be able to prioritise and delegate to other members of the Nursing team and Senior Carers. The role will also include induction and supervision of Registered Nurses and Senior HCA’s.

This role will suit a confident Registered Nurse with prior experience in a leadership role or a nurse who is looking for career progression in a clinical role. They will be passionate about palliative care. We will support with maintaining and further development of clinical and leadership skills.

The Research Associate will provide Consultative Clinical and Therapeutic Services under the Arkansas Autism Waiver.
