What will I be doing?

Guiding, inspiring and engaging a team of paid staff and volunteers. This includes recruitment, retention and development of a diverse shop team.

Taking ownership and responsibility for commercial running of your store including display and merchandising, stock management, maintaining shop standards, store layout, sales and income.

Leading by example and providing excellent customer and supporter service.

Maximising profit through effective cost control and sales.

Creating relationships with your local community and Cancer Research UK colleagues.

Organising and running creative fundraising events for your store to achieve fundraising targets.

Maintaining compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, administration and HR policies.

Identify where improved patient care or savings might be achieved through rationalisation of a product, commodity group or suppliers' entire catalogue portfolio. Manage the introduction of new products in relation to clinical consumables and surgical items, ensuring objective rationale is applied to clinical governance and value for money issues. In conjunction with clinicians and Purchasing & Supplies staff review products, catalogues and suppliers, ensuring opportunities to consolidate and aggregate expenditure and replenishment processes are optimised. Provide nursing advice and support to the Purchasing & Supplies Department on all operational issues facing end user staff. Liaising at all levels to ensure effective feedback to aid continuous improvement. In conjunction with procurement and clinical staff, identify and calculate financial savings attributable to the actions of the clinical procurement specialist and report these consistent with the department's performance indicators. Determine information needs relating to effective product utilisation and evaluation within clinical practice. Co-ordinate and lead on product evaluation projects, taking account of research, innovation, clinical evidence, clinical need, benefits, disadvantages and value for money considerations. Identify research gaps in product information and where appropriate prepare research proposals and seek external support for clinical Liaising as required with procurement colleagues and the Research and Development Department to secure contractual arrangements. Where appropriate, support nursing research and practice development colleagues in training, education and practice development activity. Liaise with staff development managers and clinicians regarding education and development needs, emanating from Product Evaluation and Selection initiatives. Arrange and participate in workshops, seminars and study days in consultation with and gaining support from, suppliers and educationalists. Maintain an awareness of current issues in nursing relating to clinical governance, ensuring any implications are incorporated within procurement decision making. Contribute towards the development of suppliers and their products in support of the Trust's continuous product rationalisation initiative, including the implementation of systems to monitor supplier performance. Proactively offer advice and guidance to user departments in all matters associated with the evaluation, selection and utilisation of medical devices, meeting with customers on site where this is deemed to be beneficial. Ensure all queries, complaints and requests for information from customers and suppliers are dealt with promptly and that all necessary follow-up action is completed satisfactorily in writing, e-mail or by telephone. Undertake special projects or any other reasonable duty as directed by the Head of Purchasing & Supplies. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Purchasing & Supply Chain. Reviews and processes all purchase requisitions on a daily basis confirming correct pricing, cost centers G/L accounts are correct, and ensure appropriate approvals prior to processing. Generates purchase orders and returns upon receipt of approved requisitions, confirming pricing, availability and lead time. Ensures pricing is correct based on contract and established. Process daily purchasing and receiving reports. Maintains status on all orders opening, reviewing, updating, closing.
• Client & Vendor Management. Responsible for problem solving including providing support and answering questions for Supply Chain employees as well as internal and external clients. Cultivates exceptional relationships with all internal and external clients to ensure timely communication and customer service to include, but not limited to: updates on expedites, back orders, pricing, recalls, and all relevant vendor communication. Participates in vendor management, working with vendors to keep abreast of changes to products, searching for substitutions when needed, effectively negotiating pricing ensuring best total cost. Following up with departments and Complemar to ensure receiving paperwork is received timely to ensure proper data entry. Review daily Complemar receiving reports for accuracy and communicate with Complemar if corrective action is needed. The Role:

Job Description

Purpose of the Role:

• The position is responsible to deliver operational procurement services to NIQ legal entities by ensuring effective and efficient performance of operational procure-to-pay processes (source to pay as future option) and tasks, supported by procurement systems (SAP Ariba, SRM) and in accordance with agreed SLAs with the business. In addition, the position should be highly focused on operational excellence and process standardization, while raising continuous improvement initiatives and supports projects (processes and operational savings).

You will:

• Be accountable for the operational procurement processes of the procurement organization from purchase requisitions (PRs) / shopping carts (SCs) to order confirmation.

• Check purchase requisitions for completeness of specifications according to pre-defined compliance and quality criteria.

• Clarify differences between purchase orders (POs), delivered quantities and invoices in close cooperation with Procurement and Finance departments and amends/ changes to purchase order data in the system if necessary.

• Conduct suppliers’ communication and sends required documents as part of the procurement process.

• Ensure compliance to Procurement Guideline, along mandatory tools and in accordance with internal approval guidelines.

• Process requests for creation and continuous maintenance of new or change of existing supplier master data.

• Perform due diligence checks as part of the supplier onboarding process.

• Acts as first level of support for business stakeholders for any queries related to the end-to-end Purchase-To-Pay process.

• Be highly focused on operational excellence and process standardization, while raising and executing continuous improvement initiatives.

• Execute various Procurement reports and is able to analyze data, draw insights and take corrective actions or generate improvement ideas from the data.

• Supports key areas of the wider Source-To-Pay process when needed – contracting and tendering, supplier enablement, development of buying channels and system related content (catalogues, internal forms, etc.)

Reporting to the Clinical Procurement Adviser, the post holder is responsible for making the vital link between Clinicians and Procurement. To enable informed, best value decision making in relation to clinical products, to create and deliver interdepartmental cost control programs and sustainable solutions. WAREHOUSE ASSISTANT – WARRINGTON

£10.42 per hour (£20,319 per annum)

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until June 2025

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week, working 7.5 hours per day between hours 8am and 8pm; which could include some weekend working as agreed.

We’re looking for a proactive Warehouse Assistant to work together to support our shops and stores, drivers. You may have worked as a Warehouse Operative before, or worked in a fast paced Retail Assistant role. You will ensure all work, processing and fulfilment is executed effectively and efficiently. You will support circa. 80 shops and superstores with appropriate end of line and donated items by sorting textile and non textile inbound stock into specific categories and dispatching to shops and superstores as scheduled.

What will I be doing?

Manually sort, categorise, ticket and process donated and End of Line new stock to meet shops ongoing requirement

Assist in maintaining stock levels for supply and inform RDC Supervisor of stock availability.

Prepare customer orders for dispatch – this includes lifting and moving stock of different weight and sizes where appropriate

Picking, packing, and sorting sold items with the dispatch department

Working to daily dispatch targets

Dealing with the deliveries of stock from our retail drivers and dispatching stock from the RDC back to our retail drivers.

Maintain safe and effective standards of storage and stock movement in the processing area.

Minimise stock loss through accurate selection of stock for the appropriate shop where we will maximise the value of the item and monitoring of waste items

Ensure all Health & Safety policies are adhered to.

What skills are we looking for?

A background within warehousing & logistics is desirable, but not essential, preferably within a retail or a fast-paced commercial environment.

Ability to work under pressure with accuracy

Ability to build collaborative and effective relationships with internal teams

Proven ability to work on own initiative and assess priorities

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

Able and willing to go above and beyond this position description to ensure success, with flexibility and willingness to perform other tasks as needed

Negotiate with suppliers and user departments to ensure optimum value for money and transparent decision making as well as considering quality and clinical input.
